Description

Precision Watering for Pots, Planters, and Shrubs.

Hand-watering container gardens, deck plants, or widely spaced shrubs is a daily chore that wastes water and time. The Small Individual Plant Drip Irrigation Kit is the efficient solution designed to spot-water up to 60 individual plants automatically. This complete package delivers water exactly where your plants need it—at the root zone—eliminating runoff and evaporation.

Unlike soaker systems that water a continuous line, this easy-to-install DIY kit utilizes spot emitters (drippers). You simply punch a hole in the mainline, run the 1/4" micro tubing to your pot or shrub, and stake the emitter in place. It requires no glue or clamps; our "Easy Loc" fittings twist and lock for a watertight seal in seconds.

Perfect for patio gardens, rose bushes, or newly planted trees, this system promotes deep root growth and healthier foliage. To keep your garden hose free for other tasks like washing the car, we highly recommend adding a Brass Y-Splitter to your order, allowing you to run your irrigation system and a standard hose from the same faucet.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

This system connects easily to any standard outdoor hose faucet.

Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
Start at the faucet. Attach the Filter first to protect your drippers from clogging, then the Pressure Regulator, and finally the Easy Loc Female Hose Start. If using a timer, attach it to the faucet before the filter.

Step 2: Lay the Mainline
Run the 1/2" Mainline Tubing past the plants you wish to water. This tubing can be hidden behind pots, under mulch, or buried shallowly. Close the end of the line with the Figure 8 End.

Step 3: Punch and Connect
Use the included Pocket Punch to make a hole in the Mainline near each plant. Insert a 1/4" Transfer Barb into the hole, then attach a length of 1/4" Micro Tubing long enough to reach the base of the plant.

Step 4: Place the Emitter
Push a Dripper (Emitter) into the end of the micro tubing. Secure the tubing in the pot or soil using a Hold Down Stake. Repeat for up to 60 plants.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I use this for potted plants on a deck?
Yes! This kit is ideal for decks and patios. You can run the 1/2" mainline along the edge of the deck or under the railing and run the thin 1/4" micro tubing to each pot.

How much water will my plants get?
The included drippers generally deliver about 1 Gallon Per Hour (GPH). This provides a slow, steady soak that is perfect for most container plants and shrubs.

Can I bury the tubing?
You can cover the tubing with mulch or soil to hide it. However, we recommend leaving the emitters exposed or just lightly covered to ensure they don't get clogged with dirt.

Is it expandable?
Yes. While this small kit is set up for 60 plants, the 1/2" mainline has enough capacity to handle many more. You can expand your system by adding:

"Actually high quality"

"Most of these small kits you buy online are cheap plastic that breaks in a year. This tubing is the real deal thick poly. I've had mine out for two winters now and no leaks."

✔ Compatibility Check

Before you buy, check your setup:

  • Water Source: Must be a standard outdoor hose faucet (Garden Hose Thread).
  • Pressure: Requires at least 15 PSI to operate effectively.
  • Application: Designed for spot watering individual plants (pots, shrubs), NOT for dense rows (use a Garden Bed Kit for that).

Complete Your System

Enhance your system with these recommended components:

  • Punch N Cut: An upgraded tool that makes punching holes and cutting tubing even easier.
  • End Caps: Provides a quick and easy way to flush or drain your mainline tubing.
  • Goof Plugs: Mistakes happen! Keep these on hand to plug unwanted holes in your mainline.
