It's easy to automate this kit by adding the optional hose-thread, battery-operated timer at the faucet. Once you have installed the timer, you can set it to handle the time and length of watering. It will remember to water when you forget or are not there to do it. If you do opt for the timer, we recommend using a high-pressure hose extension to relieve the weight of the timer assembly from the faucet.
