When Should You Replace Your Drip Irrigation System? Upgrade or Replace
Feb 26th 2026
Maintaining a large collection of potted plants usually means hours of hand-watering every week. The Large Deck Garden Drip Irrigation Kit is the high-capacity solution designed to automatically water up to 280 pots, planters, or window boxes. Unlike smaller kits, this professional-grade system upgrades your main supply line to 3/4" Mainline Tubing, ensuring that water pressure remains strong and consistent from the first pot to the very last.
This comprehensive DIY package includes massive 500-foot rolls of Soaker Dripline and Micro Tubing, giving you the freedom to reach every corner of your deck or patio. It features a dual-watering approach: use the Pot Drippers for individual specimen plants and create loops of Soaker Dripline for larger containers and window boxes.
Despite its large capacity, installation is tool-free (except for the included punch). The kit utilizes our secure "Easy Loc" fittings for the 3/4" mainline, which simply twist and lock into place. Because this system is designed for high-volume watering, we highly recommend adding a High Flow Bluetooth Timer (at least 8 GPM capacity) to fully automate your schedule.
This system connects to a standard outdoor faucet but uses larger 3/4" components for better flow.
Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
Attach your timer (optional) to the faucet. Next, screw on the Home Garden Filter, then the 30 PSI Pressure Regulator, and finally the 3/4" Easy Loc Female Hose Start. This assembly protects your system from debris and high pressure.
Step 2: Lay the Mainline
Run the 3/4" Mainline Tubing around the perimeter of your deck or patio. The larger diameter allows for longer runs without pressure loss. Use the 3/4" Easy Loc Tee or Elbows to navigate corners. Close open ends with the 3/4" End Caps.
Step 3: Connect the Pots
Use the included Punch N' Cut Tool to punch a hole in the 3/4" Mainline. Insert a 1/4" Transfer Barb and attach the 1/4" Micro Tubing to run up to your containers.
Step 4: Choose Your Emitter
For small pots, attach a Pot Dripper to the end of the micro tubing and stake it near the plant base. For larger planters or window boxes, connect the Soaker Dripline to create a watering loop or snake it through the planter. Secure everything with the included Hold Down Stakes.

Why does this kit use 3/4" tubing?
When watering up to 280 pots, a standard 1/2" line can run out of flow capacity, causing pots at the end of the line to receive less water. The 3/4" Mainline ensures even water distribution across the entire system.
Do I need a special timer?
Yes. Due to the high flow capacity of this kit (potential for >5 gallons per minute depending on setup), we recommend a High Flow Timer like the Galcon Bluetooth High Flow model. Standard hose timers may restrict the water flow too much.
Can I cut the 3/4" tubing?
Absolutely. The included Punch N' Cut Tool easily slices through the 3/4" poly tubing so you can install Tees, Elbows, or End Caps wherever needed to fit your deck's layout.
Is it expandable?
This kit is designed to maximize the output of a standard residential faucet. While you can always change the layout, adding significantly more pots beyond the 280 count may require splitting the system into multiple zones.

"Complete package"
"I was worried about piecing together a system for my extensive patio garden. This box had everything. The 3/4 inch tubing is definitely needed for this many emitters."

"So much tubing!"
"500 feet of micro tubing and dripline is generous. I had plenty left over for repairs. The Easy Loc fittings are way better than the compression ones I used to struggle with."
