Description

Grow More. Water Less. The Complete DIY Solution for Growing Nurseries.

Watering dozens of potted plants, greenhouse containers, and expanding patio planters by hand is time-consuming and risks uneven watering. The Medium Nursery Irrigation Kit is the most efficient way to automatically water up to 8 tables with 8 pots per table (64 pots total) across two independent watering zones. Designed specifically for hobbyist growers and backyard nursery enthusiasts, this complete package comes with everything you need to effortlessly distribute water directly from your faucet to the base of each individual plant.

This easy-to-install DIY kit promotes healthier root systems using a combination of Octa-Bubblers and adjustable Pot Stream Sprayers. The Octa-Bubblers ensure that maximum water output is perfectly equalized across the system, while the individual pot streamers can be adjusted down for smaller pots or turned off completely if a plant is sold or moved. Our push-and-twist "Easy Loc" fittings require no glue or special clamps, making installation a breeze and providing ultimate flexibility for ever-changing nursery environments.

We have pre-calculated all the components so you never have to guess what parts fit together. Just snap the parts in place and turn on the water. The included High Flow Hose Y makes splitting your layout into two manageable zones simple. If you also prefer to keep a standard garden hose available at the faucet for other tasks, we highly recommend adding an additional Brass Y-Splitter to your order before the irrigation system begins.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

This system connects easily to any standard outdoor hose faucet.

Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
Simply screw the Filter directly onto your faucet, then attach the Pressure Regulator, and finally attach the High Flow Hose Y. Attach the two Easy Loc Female Hose Starts to the dual outlets of the Hose Y. This complete unit is commonly referred to as the "Header" and sets up your two watering zones.

Step 2: Lay the Mainline
Run the 1/2" Mainline Tubing from the two Hose Starts along your nursery benches to create your two zones. Use the Easy Loc Tees and Elbows to route the tubing where it needs to go. Close the ends of the lines with the simple Easy Loc End Caps.

Step 3: Connect the OctaBubblers
Use the 1/2" Easy Loc x 1/2" Female Pipe Tee and the PVC nipples to splice the Octa-Bubblers seamlessly into the mainline. Next, connect individual lines of 1/4" micro tubing to the eight active ports on each Octa-Bubbler.

Step 4: Place the Emitters
At the end of the 1/4" Micro Tubing inside each pot, attach your Pot Stream Sprayer. Push the stake into the soil near the root zone of the plant. Adjust the individual flow on the sprayer to cater to smaller pots or turn it off entirely if a plant is removed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this kit easy to install?
Yes! This kit is specifically packaged for straightforward DIY installation. It requires no glue and no specialized pipe tools. The modular Easy Loc system makes setting up your greenhouse or patio spaces fast and frustration-free.

Can I connect this to a timer?
Absolutely. You can attach any standard hose faucet timer (such as our Galcon Bluetooth timer) directly to the faucet before attaching the filter and regulator assembly.

Does this work for varying pot sizes?
Yes. The provided micro tubing allows you to reach pots regardless of their size or height. Additionally, the Pot Stream Sprayers have adjustable flow caps, so you can dial down the water for small starters or open it up for larger, established pots.

Is it expandable?
While the Medium Kit is tightly calibrated around its existing parts to provide maximum uniform pressure to 64 pots, nursery layouts often shift. If you are significantly expanding your operation to hundreds of pots, we recommend stepping up to the 3/4" system found in our Large Nursery Kit to ensure proper water volume.

"Perfect for an expanding setup"

"Upgraded to this kit when my rare plant collection outgrew my patio. The two-zone split using the Y-valve is genius, and the Octabubblers ensure the pots at the end of the line get the exact same pressure as the ones up front. Worth every penny."

"Commercial grade parts"

"I run a small backyard business selling vegetable starts. This kit easily handled my 60+ pots. The tubing is real commercial-grade poly that doesn't split in the direct sun. Easy Loc fittings are a lifesaver."

  • Water Source: Must be a standard outdoor hose faucet (Garden Hose Thread).
  • Pressure: Requires at least 15 PSI to operate effectively.
  • Capacity: Designed for medium container layouts (approx. 65 pots) across two zones. For massive container operations, consider stepping up to the 3/4" system in our Large kit.

Complete Your System

Enhance your system with these recommended components:

  • Alternator Valve: Automatically switch water flow between your two zones when paired with a single-dial timer, allowing you to maximize water pressure without manual intervention.
  • Bluetooth Hose Timer: Fully automate your watering schedule right from your smartphone.
  • Coupler with Valve: Install inline to easily turn off water to specific benches or patio zones without shutting down the whole system.
