Description

Expand Your Harvest. Automated Watering for Medium Orchards.

As your orchard grows, so does the need for efficient water management. The Medium Orchard Drip Irrigation Kit is the robust solution designed to automatically water up to 40 trees across two watering zones. This comprehensive kit provides the increased capacity needed for larger home orchards, windbreaks, or vineyards, ensuring deep root hydration without the labor of hand watering.

Built for durability and ease of use, this kit features 500 feet of 1/2" Emitter Tubing, which has pressure-compensating emitters built directly into the line. This ensures every tree receives the exact same amount of water, whether it's at the beginning of the row or the end, even on hillsides. The kit comes with fittings configured for 4 rows of 10 trees each. This kit utilizes our simple "Easy Loc" fittings—just push and twist to lock—making installation a tool-free project anyone can complete in an afternoon.

To maximize the efficiency of your new system, we highly recommend adding a Bluetooth Timer to automate your watering schedule, ensuring your trees never miss a drink.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

This system connects easily to any standard outdoor hose faucet.

Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
Start at your water source. Attach your Timer (optional), then screw on the Filter, followed by the 40 PSI Pressure Regulator, and finally the Easy Loc Female Hose Start.

Step 2: Lay the Mainline
Run the solid 1/2" Mainline Tubing from your faucet to the edge of your orchard rows. This solid tubing acts as the supply line to bring water to the planting area without leaking along the way.

Step 3: Connect the Emitter Tubing
Use the Easy Loc Tees to branch off from the mainline into each row of trees. Connect the 1/2" Emitter Tubing to run down the length of the rows, positioning the built-in emitters near the root zones of your trees.

Step 4: Cap and Secure
Close the ends of all open lines with the Figure 8 Ends or End Caps. Use the Hold Downs to secure the tubing in place, especially near the base of the trees.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this kit easy to install?
Yes! Despite being a larger system, the installation principle is the same. The Easy Loc fittings push onto the tubing and twist to lock—no glue or tools required.

Do I need to bury the tubing?
We recommend covering the tubing with mulch to improve aesthetics and UV protection. However, leaving it on the surface makes it easier to inspect and move if needed.

Is it expandable?
While this kit is designed as a complete system for up to 40 trees, you can customize the layout significantly. However, for systems with more than 40 trees, we generally recommend upgrading to our Large Kit or planning for a higher flow rate capacity.
