Replacement O-ring for EZ-FLO Caps

Restore a leak-free seal in just a few minutes — no tools required.

Step 1: Shut Off Water & Depressurize
Turn off your hose-bib or timer and allow any remaining water pressure in the EZ-FLO injector to bleed off completely before opening the tank.

Step 2: Remove the Cap
Unscrew the cap from the EZ-FLO tank by rotating it counterclockwise. Set the cap aside on a clean surface.

Step 3: Remove the Old O-Ring
Locate the o-ring seated in the groove on the underside of the cap or the top rim of the tank. Carefully remove it with your fingers — avoid using sharp tools that could scratch the seating surface.

Step 4: Inspect & Clean
Wipe the o-ring groove and the mating tank surface clean of any dirt, old fertilizer residue, or debris. Inspect the groove for cracks or damage.

Step 5: Seat the New O-Ring
Press the new IEZCAPOR o-ring evenly into the groove. Make sure it lies flat all the way around with no twisting or bunching.

Step 6: Reinstall the Cap
Thread the cap back onto the tank and hand-tighten firmly until snug. Do not over-tighten. Restore water flow and check around the cap joint for any remaining drips.

Which EZ-FLO caps is this o-ring compatible with?
This o-ring (SKU IEZCAPOR / MPN K-LOR) is compatible with the EZ-FLO Rubber Cap (IEZCAPRUBE) and the EZ-FLO High-Density Cap (IEZCAPHIDT).

How do I know when it is time to replace the o-ring?
Replace the o-ring if you notice dripping or a leak at the joint between the cap and the tank body, or if the rubber appears cracked, flattened, or hardened upon visual inspection.

As a best practice, inspect the o-ring every season when you reassemble the injector after winter storage and replace it proactively every few years as part of routine maintenance.

Is this the same o-ring sold by EZ-FLO directly?
Yes. This is the genuine EZ-FLO Large Cap O-Ring bearing manufacturer part number K-LOR, the same part sold by EZ-FLO Injection Systems.

Using the correct OEM o-ring ensures a proper fit and a reliable seal. Generic o-rings of similar dimensions may not seat correctly in the cap groove.

Does this o-ring work with all EZ-FLO injector sizes?
This is the large cap o-ring and is confirmed for use with caps IEZCAPRUBE and IEZCAPHIDT. Compatibility with other EZ-FLO cap models has not been confirmed — verify your cap part number before ordering.

Can I use a lubricant on the o-ring to help it seal?
A small amount of food-grade silicone grease or plumber's silicone lubricant applied to the o-ring before installation can help it seat evenly and extend its service life.

Avoid petroleum-based lubricants such as WD-40 or petroleum jelly, as these can degrade nitrile rubber over time.
