Official EZ-FLO Replacement Outlet Tubing for Fertilizer Injectors

The EZ-FLO Clear Tubing (5' Roll) is the genuine OEM replacement outlet tube for EZ-FLO fertilizer injectors. This 1/4" clear poly tubing carries the fertilized solution from the EZ-FLO tank into your drip irrigation line, connecting directly to the green outlet fitting on the EZ-FLO cap. If your existing clear outlet tube has become kinked, cracked, or cloudy with mineral buildup, replacing it with this genuine EZ-FLO tubing restores your injector to peak performance.

This clear tubing is one of two tubing pieces required for a complete EZ-FLO injector setup. The companion EZ-FLO Black Tubing (5' Roll) — which transports water from your mainline into the tank via the blue connector nut — is sold separately. Both pieces work together to create the siphon action that draws fertilizer solution into your irrigation line during each watering cycle. How the EZ-FLO Tubing System Works

Understanding which tube does what makes installation and troubleshooting fast and straightforward.

EZ-FLO injectors use a passive, pressure-differential system — no electricity or pumps required. When your irrigation system runs, a small amount of water from the mainline is diverted through the black inlet tube (connected to the blue connector nut on the cap) down into the fertilizer tank. This water pressurizes the tank and forces the fertilizer-water mixture back up through the clear outlet tube (connected to the green outlet fitting on the cap) and into the mainline downstream.

At a glance:

  • Clear Tubing (this product): Connects to the green outlet on the cap → carries fertilized solution OUT to the irrigation line.
  • Black Tubing (sold separately): Connects to the blue connector nut on the cap → carries water IN from the mainline to the tank.

The clear color of this outlet tube also makes it easy to visually confirm that fertilizer solution is actively flowing — you can see the tinted liquid moving through the tube during a watering cycle, giving you immediate confirmation that your injector is working correctly.

How to Replace the Clear Outlet Tube: Step-by-Step

Replacing your EZ-FLO outlet tube takes only a few minutes.

Step 1: Turn Off Your Water Supply
Shut off the water at the faucet or valve supplying your EZ-FLO injector before working on the tubing connections.

Step 2: Locate the Green Outlet Fitting on the Cap
Identify the green outlet fitting on the top of the EZ-FLO cap. This is where the clear tube attaches. (The blue connector nut is the separate inlet port for the black tubing.)

Step 3: Remove the Old Tubing
Gently pull the old clear tube free from the green outlet fitting. If it has hardened or stuck, use a small flathead screwdriver to carefully work it loose without damaging the fitting.

Step 4: Cut and Install the New Tubing
Cut the new 1/4" clear tubing to your desired length — the 5' roll gives you plenty of material to route to your mainline connection point. Push the tubing firmly onto the green outlet fitting until it seats securely. Route the other end to your designated injection point on the mainline.

Step 5: Test the System
Turn the water back on and run a watering cycle. Observe the clear tubing — you should be able to see the fertilizer solution flowing through it toward the mainline, confirming the injector is operating correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the clear tubing used for on an EZ-FLO injector?
The clear tubing is the outlet tube. It carries the fertilized solution from inside the EZ-FLO tank out to your irrigation mainline. It connects to the green outlet fitting on the EZ-FLO cap.

Is the black inlet tubing included with this product?
No. This listing is for the clear outlet tubing only. The black inlet tubing is sold separately.

How do I know when the clear outlet tubing needs to be replaced?
Common signs include visible cracking, hardening, kinking that won't straighten out, or heavy mineral/algae buildup inside the tube that restricts flow.

Can I use generic 1/4" tubing as a replacement?
EZ-FLO recommends using their genuine replacement tubing (this product) to ensure proper fit and compatibility with the cap fittings.

Why is it helpful that this tubing is clear?
The clear color lets you visually verify that your injector is actively drawing fertilizer solution during a watering cycle — you can see the liquid flowing through the tube in real time.

✔ Compatibility Note

This tubing is designed specifically for EZ-FLO fertilizer injectors:

  • Outlet Tube Only: This is the clear outlet tube that connects to the green outlet fitting on the EZ-FLO cap. It is not interchangeable with the black inlet tube.
  • EZ-FLO Systems: Confirmed for use with EZ-FLO hose bib systems, mainline systems, and residential injection systems that use the standard EZ-FLO cap with green and blue fittings.
  • Pair with Black Tubing: For a complete tubing replacement, also order the EZ-FLO Black Tubing (5' Roll).
