Description

Uniform, Wind-Resistant Coverage for Gardens, Ground Covers & Greenhouses.

The Ein Dor Dynamic Mini-Sprinkler is a longtime customer favorite at DripWorks. Its vibrating, lifting top produces a full-circle (360°) spray pattern with large droplets that resist wind drift — no misting, no pooling, just even coverage. It's ideal for garden beds, ground covers, landscape areas, seedling propagation, under tree canopies, and grouped container plants. Each pack contains 5 sprinkler heads in your choice of four color-coded flow rates.

The lifting top doubles as a self-cleaning mechanism, actively preventing plugging during operation. When water shuts off, the head closes downward to seal out dirt and insects between cycles. Operating range is 20 PSI minimum, best at 30 PSI. The Ein Dor uses a press-fit base and must be paired with a Press-Fit Support Stake Assembly (sold separately) to connect to your mainline. With a press-fit barb and anti-drip device, it can also be inverted for overhead greenhouse watering — the low-flow Purple model (MELOW) produces a fine mist with a reduced spray diameter when installed upside down.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which flow rate should I choose?
Match the flow rate to your coverage area. The Purple (5 GPH / 5 ft) is best for seedlings, propagation, and small containers. Blue (9 GPH / 7 ft) works well for flower beds and ground covers. Black (18 GPH / 9 ft) handles larger landscape beds and under-tree zones. Red (32 GPH / 13 ft) is suited for turf and high-demand zones. Plan for 100% overlap between adjacent heads for uniform coverage.

What does "press-fit" mean and what do I need?
The Ein Dor snaps into a compatible bridge fitting — it is not a threaded connection and cannot insert directly into mainline tubing on its own. You need either a Press-Fit Support Stake Assembly (includes stake, bridge, tubing, and barb) or a Press-Fit Barb to connect directly to 1/4" micro tubing or 1/2"+ mainline.

Can I use the Ein Dor upside down in a greenhouse?
Yes. Pair it with a Press-Fit Barb and press-fit anti-drip device (MEAD) for overhead container watering. The Purple low-flow model (MELOW) produces a fine mist with a reduced spray diameter when inverted.

What pressure does it need?
Minimum 20 PSI; best performance at 30 PSI. If your supply pressure varies or runs high, use a pressure regulator to keep the system in range.

How do I turn off individual heads without shutting down the zone?
Insert a Press-Fit Shutoff Valve (MEVSO) between the sprinkler head and the bridge on the support assembly. A Press-Fit Plug can cap off a head position if permanently removed.

Is the Ein Dor compatible with an automatic timer?
Yes — it works with any controller that operates solenoid valves, including battery-operated hose-end timers and AC multi-zone controllers. Browse compatible irrigation timers at DripWorks.

✔ Compatibility Check

Before you install, verify the following:

  • Support Assembly Required: The Ein Dor is a press-fit fitting — not threaded. Pair it with a Press-Fit Support Stake Assembly (13", 18", or 36") or a Press-Fit Barb.
  • Water Pressure: Minimum 20 PSI; best at 30 PSI. Add a pressure regulator if your supply pressure is high or variable.
  • Coverage Overlap: Plan for 100% overlap between heads for complete, uniform coverage.
  • Filtration: Install an upstream filter to protect small orifices from sediment and debris.
  • Greenhouse / Overhead Use: When inverting for overhead watering, add the press-fit anti-drip device (MEAD) to prevent dripping between irrigation cycles.
