Description

Keep Your Field Flowing. The Complete Drip Tape Repair & Expansion Kit.

Drip Tape is the most economical and efficient way to water long row crops and large vegetable gardens, but accidents in the field happen. Whether a garden hoe accidentally nicks a line, an animal chews through a section, or you simply need to expand your planting area mid-season, the Drip Tape Repair and Expansion Kit is your all-in-one backup plan.

This essential emergency and maintenance kit contains all the commonly used fittings you need to keep your Drip Tape irrigation system working flawlessly. Rather than piecing together individual parts, we've bundled the most necessary components—including row starts, couplers, end caps, and a 1/4" key punch tool—so you are always prepared for quick field repairs or last-minute garden expansions.

Everything is conveniently packaged inside a durable 2-Gallon Bucket with a lid. This ensures your fittings stay clean, protected from the elements, and easily organized. We highly recommend keeping this bucket in your greenhouse, shed, or truck so you never have to delay your watering schedule due to a damaged line.

How to Use: Repair & Expansion

This kit equips you to handle the three most common Drip Tape tasks:

1. Repairing a Leak
If your tape gets punctured or torn, simply use scissors to cut out the damaged section. Take one of the included Drip Tape Couplers (LSC), insert it between the two cleanly cut ends, and twist the locking nuts tightly over the tape. Your line will be fixed in seconds.

2. Adding a New Row
To expand your garden, use the included Key Punch (PUO) to punch a new hole in your 1/2" or 3/4" poly mainline tubing. Insert the barbed end of a Drip Tape Row Start (LSB) or Row Start with Valve (LSBSO) until it clicks, then attach your new run of Drip Tape.

3. Capping the Ends
When you run a new line, you need to cap it to build pressure. You can use either the heavy-duty Drip Tape End w/ Cap (LSMC) or the quick and easy Grip Sleeve Ends (LSGS) provided in the bucket. Stake the end down securely with the included wire Hold Downs.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What size Drip Tape do these fittings work with?
All the fittings in this kit are standard 5/8" (15mm) tape fittings. They are universally compatible with all 5/8" Drip Tape brands, including Toro Aqua-Traxx, Chapin, and T-Tape.

Do I need any special tools?
No! The fittings feature a twist-lock or sleeve mechanism that installs completely by hand. The only tool you need to expand your system is the included 1/4" Key Punch to create holes in your mainline.

Why use a Row Start with a Valve?
The included LSBSO and LSCSO fittings feature shut-off valves. This is incredibly useful if you have harvested one row early and want to stop watering that specific row without shutting down the rest of your field.

Is it expandable?
Yes, expansion is one of the main purposes of this bucket! The included Row Starts and Hold Downs allow you to run brand new rows of tape directly off your existing polyethylene mainline.

"Saved my corn rows!"

"I hit my drip tape with a rototiller by accident right when the summer heat peaked. Having this bucket in the shed meant I patched the line in 2 minutes using the couplers instead of having to wait for a replacement delivery. Absolute lifesaver."

"Best value for maintenance"

"If you run drip tape, you need this bucket. Buying these fittings individually costs way more, and having the bucket keeps them from getting lost in the dirt. The fittings with the built-in shut off valves are my favorite."

"Essential Emergency Kit"

"Raccoons chewed my tape looking for water. I grabbed this bucket, cut out the chewed parts, and spliced it back together with the couplers. Didn't even need any tools. Highly recommend getting one before you actually need it."

✔ Compatibility Check

Before you buy, check your setup:

  • Tape Size: Designed specifically for standard 5/8" Drip Tape.
  • Mainline Connection: The Row Starts are designed to be punched into standard 1/2" or 3/4" Polyethylene Mainline Tubing.
  • Purpose: This is an expansion and repair parts kit. It does not include the actual Drip Tape or Mainline Tubing.

Complete Your System

Be fully prepared by adding these commonly needed items:

  • 1/4" Goof Plugs: If you accidentally punch a hole in the wrong spot on your mainline, a goof plug seals it instantly.
  • Poly Mainline Tubing: Need to bring water to a completely new area of your property before laying the tape? Extend your mainline.
