Description

Beat the Heat. Drop Temperatures by 20°F. The Ultimate DIY Cooling Solution.

Summer heat shouldn't keep you indoors. The Backyard Misting Kit is a heavy-duty cooling system designed to transform hot patios, decks, and pet areas into refreshing oases. Utilizing the power of flash evaporation, this system creates a fine mist that cools the surrounding air by up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit without soaking everything in sight. This system uses flexible 1/4" Micro Tubing, allowing you to easily route it along the contours of your patio, umbrella, or backyard structure.

This easy-to-install DIY kit attaches to any standard outdoor faucet or garden hose. It is fully customizable—simply cut the tubing wherever you need cooling and insert the barbed tees and misting nozzles. It's perfect for overhangs, pergolas, gazebos, and even animal shelters. The included barbed fittings simply push into the tubing, requiring no glue or special tools, making assembly a breeze.

Additionally, to keep your garden hose free for other uses while the misting system is running, we recommend adding a Brass Y-Splitter to your order.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

This system connects easily to any standard outdoor hose faucet.

Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
Connect the 200 Mesh Tee Filter to your faucet or timer. Attach the Hose Adapter x 1/4" Barb to the filter. This creates your connection point.

Step 2: Mount the Tubing
Run the 1/4" Micro Tubing along the structure you wish to cool (eaves, pergola beams, or umbrellas). Secure the tubing in place using the included 1/4" Support Clamps (usually placed every 2-3 feet).

Step 3: Install Misters
Cut the 1/4" tubing where you want to place a mister. Insert a 1/4" Barbed Tee into the cut ends, and attach the Misting Nozzle to the open barb of the tee. We recommend spacing them about 2 to 3 feet apart for optimal cooling.

Step 4: Finish the Line
At the end of your tubing run, instead of a tee, use a 1/4" Barbed Elbow to attach your final Misting Nozzle, neatly terminating the line.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will this get everything wet?
If installed correctly with sufficient height (8-10 feet), the mist should flash evaporate before hitting the ground, cooling the air without soaking furniture. However, in high humidity or if installed too low, some surface moisture may occur.

Do I need a pump?
Usually, no. This kit is designed to operate on standard household water pressure (40-60 PSI). If you have very low pressure, a booster pump might be necessary.

How do I fix clogged nozzles?
If your nozzles do become clogged with mineral deposits, remove them and soak them in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and warm water for 30 to 60 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Is it expandable?
Yes, this kit uses 1/4" micro tubing to expand it; you will need to add a 1/2" Header. The Header consists of a Filter, Pressure Regulator, and a 1/2" Easy Loc Female hose start. After the header, you will be able to use a 1/2" mainline and install the Cool Breeze Misting Nozzle into the 1/2" mainline.
