Description

The Compact Pipe Wrench Built for Tight Spaces

The MCC 12" CornerWrench™ (Model CW-300) is a professional-grade pipe wrench engineered for plumbing and irrigation work in confined areas — water meter boxes, valve boxes, trenches, and anywhere a standard pipe wrench simply won't fit. Made in Japan by MCC International (a manufacturer since 1916), it features a 90-degree offset forged steel handle and the most compact ratchet-like jaw head in its class, letting you tighten or loosen fittings without needing wide swing clearance.

The spring-loaded jaw frame delivers a ratchet-like action for faster operation, while jaws of high-carbon alloy steel with careful heat treatment ensure a tight, long-lasting grip. With a nominal pipe capacity of 3/8" to 1-1/4" outer diameter and a total length of 300 mm (approx. 12"), the CW-300 is the go-to tool for installing and servicing irrigation valves, filters, pressure regulators, and threaded fittings throughout your drip or sprinkler system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the CornerWrench different from a standard pipe wrench?
The 90-degree offset handle and ultra-compact jaw head allow you to grip and turn pipes in spaces too tight for a conventional pipe wrench — such as inside valve boxes, meter boxes, or pipe trenches — without needing wide lateral clearance.

What pipe sizes does the CW-300 fit?
The CW-300 handles pipe outer diameters from 16 mm to 44 mm, which corresponds to 3/8" through 1-1/4" US pipe sizes — covering the most common fittings used in residential and commercial drip and sprinkler systems.

Is this wrench suitable for irrigation use?
Yes. MCC specifically lists underground irrigation pipelines and water meter boxes as ideal CornerWrench applications. It excels at installing and removing valves, pressure regulators, filters, and threaded fittings in confined irrigation assemblies.
