Description

Double the Options. The Ultimate Repair Plug.

The 1/4" Two-Way Goof Plug is the versatile "Swiss Army knife" of irrigation repairs. Featuring a unique double-sided design, this plug offers two different sized barbs on a single unit: a standard barb for sealing regular punched holes, and an oversized barb for plugging holes that have become stretched or enlarged over time.

These essential irrigation fittings typically come in a connected "rack" (strip) for easy handling. Simply twist one off when you need it. whether you are fixing a mistake in your polyethylene mainline or capping the end of a 1/4" micro tubing run, this plug ensures you have the right fit for the job every time.

Why Choose Two-Way Plugs?
  • Dual-Sized Ends: Use the small end for standard 1/4" punched holes. Use the large end if the hole is loose or leaking.
  • Leak Stopper: Specifically designed to salvage mainline tubing that might otherwise need to be cut and spliced with a coupler.
  • Easy Grip: The "dumbbell" shape provides a better finger hold than single-sided plugs, making insertion easier.
  • Multi-Purpose: Can be used to plug mainline holes OR cap the end of 1/4" distribution tubing.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Choosing the right end for the leak:

Step 1: Test the Small End
Try inserting the smaller barb into the hole first. If it snaps in tightly and seals the leak, you are done.

Step 2: Try the Large End
If the small end feels loose or water still drips out under pressure, pull it out and flip the plug over. Insert the larger barb. This slightly oversized end is designed to stretch the hole for a fresh seal.

Step 3: Capping Tubing
To use as an end cap, simply push the micro tubing onto either end of the plug. The "dumbbell" shape acts as a convenient handle for removal later.

Tip:
Keep a rack of these in your pocket whenever you are working on your system. They are the fastest way to fix accidental punctures.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure this fits your repair needs:

  • Tubing Type: Works with Poly Mainline (1/2" or larger) and 1/4" Micro Tubing.
  • Hole Type: Designed for round punched holes. Will NOT fix linear splits or cracks.
  • Note: If the large end of this plug is still too small to stop the leak, you must cut the line and install a coupler.

Complete Your System

Don't let leaks stop your garden from growing:

  • Punch Tool: The tool used to create holes for emitters and connectors.
  • 1/4" Micro Tubing: The flexible line that these plugs can cap off.
  • Drippers: Replace a plugged hole with a new emitter nearby.
  • Bug Plugs: Use these if you want the line to drain, rather than seal completely.
  • Barbed Tees: Branch your lines to new locations.
