Requires Solvent Welding (Glue) and Thread Tape.
Step 1: Prep the Slip Joint
Clean the Spigot end of this adapter and the Slip Socket of your target fitting (e.g., Tee or Elbow). Apply Purple Primer to both surfaces.
Step 2: Glue
Apply PVC Glue to the primed areas. Immediately insert the Spigot end into the fitting socket, twisting a quarter turn. Hold for 30 seconds to set.
Step 3: Prep the Threads
Wrap the Male Pipe Threads (MPT) with 3-5 layers of thread seal tape in a clockwise direction.
Step 4: Connect Accessory
Screw your Female Pipe Thread (FPT) valve, filter, or riser onto the adapter. Hand-tighten firmly, then use pliers for a final half-turn if necessary.
