Description

Prep Your Pipe. Protect Your Seals.

The PVC-Lock Beveling Tool is the "insurance policy" for your push-fit irrigation system. When you cut PVC pipe, it often leaves a sharp, jagged edge that can slice the internal O-ring of a fitting during insertion, leading to leaks. This handheld tool quickly creates a smooth, tapered chamfer on the end of the pipe, ensuring it glides harmlessly past the seal. It is a mandatory accessory for installing irrigation fittings that rely on internal O-rings, such as PVC-Lock or compression couplers.

Designed for versatility, this all-in-one tool fits the three most common residential pipe sizes: 3/4", or 1". After cutting your line with a PVC Pipe Cutter, simply insert the pipe end into the tool and twist to create the perfect bevel in seconds.

Why Use a Beveling Tool?
  • Leak Prevention: A sharp pipe edge is the #1 cause of leaks in push-fit systems. Beveling eliminates this risk entirely.
  • Easier Insertion: The tapered edge reduces friction, allowing the pipe to slide into the fitting socket with less force.
  • Multi-Size Capability: One tool handles 1/2", 3/4", and 1" Schedule 40 or 80 PVC pipe, saving space in your toolbox.
  • Durable Design: Features a rugged plastic body ensuring long-lasting performance on the job site.

How to Use: A Step-by-Step Guide

Three steps to a perfect prep.

Step 1: Cut
Cut your PVC pipe to length using a ratchet cutter or saw. Ensure the cut is square (90 degrees).

Step 2: Insert
Place the cut end of the pipe into the appropriate sized slot on the Beveling Tool (3/4", or 1").

Step 3: Twist
Apply firm pressure and rotate the tool (or the pipe) clockwise several times until a visible bevel (sloped edge) is formed around the entire circumference. Wipe away any plastic shavings before installing.

✔ Compatibility Check

  • Sizes: Specifically sized for 1/2", 3/4", and 1" pipe diameters.
