Secure a leak-free seal in four steps.
Step 1: Prep the Pipe
Cut out the damaged section of pipe. Clean the pipe ends thoroughly with sand cloth to remove dirt, mud, or old glue. Crucial: The gasket needs a smooth surface to seal against.
Step 2: Disassemble & Slide
Unscrew the nuts and remove the rubber gaskets from the coupling body. Slide a nut and then a gasket onto each side of the pipe.
Step 3: Position the Body
Place the white PVC body into the gap. Slide the gaskets and nuts toward the body.
Step 4: Tighten
Screw the nuts onto the body. Hand tighten firmly, then use a wrench for an additional half-turn if necessary. Do not overtighten.
