Miracle Punch

A quick guide to creating perfectly sealed emitter holes.

Step 1: Insert the Tubing
Slide your 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch poly mainline tubing completely into the semi-circular channel on the jaw of the tool.

Step 2: Align the Tool
Position the tool so the cutting tip is aimed exactly where you want your emitter to be placed on the tubing.

Step 3: Squeeze the Handle
Squeeze the handles together firmly in one smooth motion until you hear a distinct "pop." This sound confirms the blade has punched entirely through the tube wall.

Step 4: Insert the Emitter
Release the handle, remove the tubing, and immediately push your 1/4-inch transfer barb or point-source emitter into the clean hole until it snaps securely into place.

Which version of the Miracle Punch do I need for my emitters?
Choose the standard Miracle Punch (PUM) for typical 1/4-inch barbed fittings. Choose the Large Hole Miracle Punch (PUMK) exclusively for Vibra-Clean emitters.

Using the large hole punch on a standard 1/4-inch fitting will create a hole that is too wide, resulting in leaks around the base of the emitter.

Does the Miracle Punch work on 1-inch or larger tubing?
No, the Miracle Punch is designed exclusively with a channel that fits 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch polyethylene mainline tubing. Larger tubing will not fit into the tool.

If you are using 1-inch mainline or larger PVC pipe, you will need to use a different style of hole punch, such as our Pro Punch.

Can I replace the blade on the Miracle Punch if it gets dull?
Yes, the cutting tip on the Miracle Punch is completely replaceable. You can easily swap it out using our replacement punch tips to restore a factory-sharp edge.

We highly recommend keeping a spare tip in your tool bucket so you are never caught with a dull blade in the middle of a large installation project.

Before I start my spring garden expansion, how do I ensure my Miracle Punch cuts cleanly?
Before spring startup, inspect your Miracle Punch blade for rust or dullness. A dull blade stretches plastic rather than cutting it cleanly, which will cause leaks around your emitters.

If the blade looks jagged or feels overly difficult to push through the tubing, immediately unscrew it and install a fresh replacement tip before planting.
