The Aqualine I100A-014 is a commercial-grade, 1" brass adjustable impact sprinkler engineered for the demands of large-area irrigation — including hay fields, alfalfa and pasture irrigation, large residential lawns, agricultural operations, and commercial landscapes. Built from solid brass with a rugged steel, bronze, and stainless-steel construction throughout its drive mechanism, this sprinkler is designed to run season after season in tough field conditions where lesser sprinklers fail.
The I100A-014 features an adjustable arc from 20° to 340°, making it suitable for both partial-circle and near-full-circle coverage patterns. The proven impact drive mechanism delivers a powerful, consistent stream that mimics natural rainfall and penetrates even dense turf. An adjustable stainless steel deflector plate gives you precise control over throw distance, and the adjustable stainless-steel diffuser pin allows you to break up the stream for softer, more uniform water distribution. At operating pressures between 35 and 80 PSI, this sprinkler delivers a spacing radius of 48 to 76 feet and a flow rate of 8 to 39 GPM — making it one of the highest-output impact sprinklers available for agricultural and large-turf applications. The unit connects via a 1" Male Pipe Thread (MPT) inlet and includes a 1/4" main nozzle, with a secondary lower nozzle included for close-in watering at the base of the pattern.
The I100A-014 is a riser-mounted sprinkler — it mounts directly onto a 1" NPT threaded riser or pipe nipple and is not a pop-up head. For large-acreage agricultural installations, it is commonly paired with 1" Schedule 80 PVC nipples and risers to achieve the correct mounting height. If you need a smaller-bodied impact sprinkler for residential applications, consider the full Aqualine impact sprinkler lineup available at DripWorks. For a larger model with dual nozzles designed for maximum-diameter coverage, the Aqualine I125A 1-1/4" Brass Adjustable Impact Sprinkler steps up to even larger field coverage. To automate your irrigation zones, DripWorks carries a full range of compatible irrigation timers and controllers and irrigation valves.

What is the difference between the I100A and the I100?
The I100A (this model) is the adjustable arc version — it can be set anywhere from 20° to 340° for partial-circle coverage. The I100 is the full-circle-only version designed to rotate continuously at 360°. If you need to water a corner, edge, or any zone that doesn't require a full circle, the I100A is the correct choice. If your application requires 360° continuous rotation only, the I100 is the simpler option.
How is the arc adjusted on the I100A?
The arc is adjusted by setting the trip collar on the sprinkler body. The left-stop and right-stop collars define the beginning and end of the sweep. Once positioned, the internal spring-loaded impact arm drives the nozzle back and forth within that range. Adjustments are made by hand — no special tools are required.
What does the adjustable stainless-steel deflector plate do?
The deflector plate is positioned near the nozzle and can be slid in or out to control how far the water stream throws. Moving the plate closer to the nozzle shortens the throw radius; moving it away increases the throw distance. This lets you fine-tune coverage without changing nozzles or operating pressure.
What does the adjustable stainless-steel diffuser pin do?
The diffuser pin breaks up the solid stream into a finer spray. When the pin is inserted into the stream, it creates a more droplet-like pattern closer to the head, which is useful for areas where you want softer, more rain-like distribution near the base of the pattern. Pulling the pin out of the stream restores a solid-throw long-range pattern.
Is this a pop-up sprinkler?
No. The Aqualine I100A is a riser-mounted impact sprinkler. It threads onto a 1" Male Pipe Thread (MPT) riser or nipple and remains above ground at all times. It is not designed for in-ground pop-up installation. For above-ground agricultural and large-turf applications, this is the standard and correct installation method. DripWorks carries compatible 1" Schedule 80 PVC nipples and risers to mount it at the appropriate height.
What pressure does this sprinkler require?
The I100A-014 is rated for an operating pressure range of 35 to 80 PSI. At lower pressures within this range (around 35–45 PSI), the throw radius will be reduced. At higher pressures (65–80 PSI), you will achieve the maximum spacing radius of up to 76 feet. If your system pressure exceeds 80 PSI, we recommend installing a pressure regulator upstream of the zone valve to protect the sprinkler and ensure uniform distribution.
How far apart should I space the heads?
For head-to-head coverage, space sprinklers at or below the maximum radius for your operating pressure. At 76' maximum radius, standard spacing would be approximately 60–70 feet between heads in a triangular or square layout. For agricultural use, spacing between 48' and 76' (matching the stated spacing radius) is typical depending on your target uniformity and pressure.
What size supply pipe do I need?
Given the high flow rate of this sprinkler (up to 39 GPM), it is critical to size your supply mainline accordingly. A 1" or larger mainline is strongly recommended to avoid excessive velocity and pressure loss. In agricultural systems, multiple I100A heads are often supplied by a 1.5" or 2" mainline. Consult a flow/friction loss chart based on your pipe material when designing your system.
Can I automate this sprinkler with a timer?
Yes. The I100A operates on standard hydraulic pressure and is compatible with any irrigation valve and controller that supports solenoid valves. DripWorks carries a full range of compatible irrigation timers and controllers and zone valves to fully automate your system.
Is there a larger Aqualine impact sprinkler available?
Yes. If you need even greater coverage capacity, DripWorks also carries the Aqualine I125A 1-1/4" Brass Adjustable Impact Sprinkler, which features dual nozzles (3/8" large and 7/32" small) and is designed for maximum-scale agricultural and commercial irrigation.
