What is the difference between the I125 and the I125A?
Both are 1-1/4" brass impact sprinklers with dual 3/8" and 7/32" nozzles. The I125 is a full-circle model — it rotates continuously through 360°. The I125A (this product) is the adjustable arc version, allowing you to set the coverage pattern anywhere from 20° to 340°. If you need to water a specific section — a corner, a strip along a fence, or a partial area — the I125A gives you that control.

What does the dual nozzle configuration do?
The I125A-038 comes with two nozzles installed: a 3/8" large nozzle for the primary stream and a 7/32" small nozzle. The large nozzle delivers the main water throw for distance coverage. The small nozzle provides a secondary stream that helps fill in the area closer to the sprinkler head, improving uniformity across the wetted radius. Together, they ensure more even distribution compared to a single-nozzle design.

What is the anti-backsplash impact drive?
Standard impact arms can cause water to splash backward toward the sprinkler body as the arm snaps back into the stream, wasting water and reducing uniformity. The anti-backsplash design on the I125A redirects the arm's return motion to minimize this side splash, keeping water on target and reducing wasted throw.

How do I adjust the throw distance?
Throw distance is primarily controlled by your operating pressure — higher pressure extends the throw, lower pressure shortens it. For fine-tuning, the adjustable stainless steel deflector plate can be positioned to break up the stream and reduce the throw radius without changing the operating pressure. Similarly, the diffuser pin can be slid into the stream to disperse the water and shorten the effective throw distance.

What type of riser or base does this sprinkler require?
The I125A-038 uses a 1-1/4" NPT threaded inlet, so it requires a riser, pipe nipple, or swing joint with a 1-1/4" male NPT thread. For above-ground applications such as field crops, orchards, or pastures, the sprinkler is typically installed on a riser pipe staked into the ground. Is this sprinkler suitable for use on a timer or automated irrigation system?
Yes. This is a passive impact sprinkler — it has no electronics and operates purely on water pressure. It is compatible with any irrigation system that can deliver adequate pressure to the 1-1/4" inlet, including systems controlled by battery-operated or AC-powered timers and solenoid valves.
