Commercial-Grade Venturi Fertigation — Ready-to-Install Mazzei Injector Kits

These 3/4" Mazzei Injector Kits are complete, ready-to-install fertigation systems designed for farmers, commercial growers, and serious gardeners who need reliable, accurate liquid fertilizer or chemical injection. Each kit combines a Mazzei polypropylene venturi injector with an F-30 liquid flowmeter (5–40 GPH range) and a K-184 suction line kit — giving you everything needed to draw fertilizer from any open container directly into your irrigation mainline.

Mazzei venturi injectors operate with no moving parts, using differential pressure to draw liquid from the suction line into the water stream. This makes them exceptionally durable and nearly maintenance-free. Choose between two flow rate variants to match your system's GPH demand — an undersized injector will restrict flow, while an oversized one won't draw at all.

Important: Mazzei injectors require a pressure differential across the inlet and outlet to function. Install on a bypass line or after a flow-control valve. All injectors require liquid fertilizers only — not dry or granular products.

What's Included in Each Kit
  • Mazzei PP Polypropylene Venturi Injector — Lo Flo kit includes model 0484-A (3/4"); Hi Flo kit includes model 0584 (1/2")
  • F-30 L Liquid Flowmeter — 1/4" barb, 5–40 GPH range, for monitoring suction line draw rate
  • K-184 Suction Line Kit — includes 10 ft. coiled 1/4" I.D. clear vinyl tubing, PP ball valve (5/16" orifice, 1/4" FNPT), S-25HB strainer, TA-225 tubing adapter, and plastic tube clamps

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between the Lo Flo and Hi Flo kit?
Select the kit that matches your irrigation system's operating flow rate in GPH. An oversized injector will not draw fertilizer at all; an undersized one will restrict water flow through your system.

If you're unsure of your system's flow rate, use a bucket and timer to measure GPH at your water source before selecting a model.

Can I use dry or granular fertilizer with these injectors?
No. Mazzei venturi injectors work by suction and require liquid fertilizers only. Dry or granular products must be dissolved into a liquid solution before use.

Water-soluble fertilizers with less than 0.5% insoluble impurities work best to prevent clogging of the suction strainer and your drip emitters.

Do these injectors require electricity or a pump?
No. Mazzei venturi injectors are entirely powered by the differential pressure of water flowing through your irrigation line — no electricity, no pump, and no moving parts to wear out.

A minimum pressure differential across the injector inlet and outlet is required for suction to occur. Installing the injector on a bypass loop is the most common and reliable installation method.

What is the flowmeter included in the kit used for?
The F-30 L liquid flowmeter (5–40 GPH, 1/4" barb) monitors the rate at which fertilizer solution is being drawn from your container, allowing you to accurately control and repeat your injection dosage.

✔ Sizing & Installation Reminders

  • Match Flow Rate: Always select the injector model that matches your system's GPH. An oversized injector will not draw fertilizer; an undersized injector will restrict flow.
  • Liquid Fertilizers Only: These venturi injectors require liquid or fully dissolved fertilizers. Undissolved solids will clog the suction strainer.
  • Pressure Differential Required: Install on a bypass line or downstream of a flow-control valve to ensure adequate pressure drop across the injector for suction to occur.
  • Backflow Prevention: Always install a backflow preventer upstream of any fertilizer injector to protect your drinking water supply.

Complete Your Fertigation System

Pair your Mazzei Injector Kit with these essential components for a complete setup:

  • Filters: Protect your emitters and injector from sediment with an inline screen or disc filter.
  • Backflow Preventers: Required by code in most areas when injecting any chemical or fertilizer into an irrigation system.
  • Pressure Regulators: Maintain consistent operating pressure for reliable injection rates.
