Description

Connect Systems. Bridge the Size Gap.

The 1/2" Easy Loc x Raindrip Coupler is the ultimate problem solver for gardeners mixing different brands of tubing. Standard DripWorks mainline is .700" OD, while "Raindrip" brand tubing is typically smaller (.620" OD). This specialized adapter fitting allows you to seamlessly connect these two different sizes without leaks or blowouts. It is an essential component for expanding an existing big-box store system with professional-grade components or connecting new timers and head assemblies to older lines.

As one of our most specific irrigation fittings, this coupler features two distinct sides: one side fits standard .700" OD tubing (DripWorks Standard), and the other fits .620" OD tubing (Raindrip Standard). Utilizing the reliable Easy Loc locking technology, it screws over the tubing to create a secure, compression-style seal that handles pressure surges and temperature fluctuations far better than friction-fit inserts.

Why Choose Easy Loc Adapters?
  • Universal Adaptation: Specifically designed to adapt "Series 600" (.700" OD) tubing to "Series 500" (.620" OD) tubing, solving the most common compatibility issue in residential drip irrigation.
  • Leak-Proof Seal: The locking collar compresses the tubing against the internal barb, ensuring a tight fit even on tubing that may vary slightly in wall thickness.
  • Reusable & Adjustable: Unlike glued fittings or barbed connectors that require cutting, Easy Loc fittings can be unscrewed and reused if you redesign your garden layout.
  • Durable Materials: Made from high-quality, UV-resistant polypropylene to withstand harsh sunlight and weather conditions for years.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Quickly connect two different tubing sizes.

Step 1: Identify Tubing Sizes
Check your tubing. The larger tubing (.700" OD) goes into the side often marked "600" or capable of fitting standard DripWorks poly. The smaller tubing (.620" OD) goes into the side designed for Raindrip sizes (often marked "500").

Step 2: Prepare the Ends
Cut both tubing ends squarely with a pipe cutter or sharp shears to ensure a clean edge.

Step 3: Insert and Lock
Rotate the locking collars back towards the center of the fitting. Push the tubing over the barb on the appropriate side until it hits the stop. Twist the locking collar forward over the tubing to secure it.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure you have the right mix of tubing:

  • Side A: Fits DripWorks Standard 1/2" Poly Tubing (.700" OD).
  • Side B: Fits Raindrip Brand 1/2" Poly Tubing (.620" OD).
  • Note: If both your tubes are the same size, you likely need a standard 1/2" Coupler instead.
