Description

Branch Your Lines. Create Custom Grid Layouts.

Efficiently water multiple rows or create complex grid layouts with the Tape Loc Tee. This essential fitting allows you to split a single line of 5/8" drip tape into two separate directions, perfect for navigating around obstacles or maximizing coverage in wider garden beds.

Designed to connect three pieces of drip tape in a "T" configuration, this fitting features three independent locking nuts. This ensures a secure, leak-proof seal at every connection point, maintaining consistent pressure across all branches of your system.

Why Choose Tape Loc Technology?
  • Versatile Layouts: Easily create headers, split rows, or build grid patterns to suit your specific planting needs. The tee fitting gives you the flexibility to design a custom irrigation system.
  • Positive Locking Mechanism: The distinctive locking nuts twist down to mechanically clamp the tape over the barbs. This "annular compression" creates a seal that prevents "blowouts" caused by pressure surges or warm temperatures.
  • Fully Reusable: Unlike compression fittings that "bite" into the plastic, Tape Loc fittings can be unlocked and removed in seconds. Perfect for seasonal systems that are reconfigured year after year.
  • Tool-Free Installation: No clamps, ratchets, or hot water required. The large, textured nuts are designed for easy hand-tightening.
  • UV & Chemical Resistant: Molded from high-grade polypropylene with UV stabilizers, these fittings resist cracking from sun exposure and are chemically inert to standard fertilizers.

Understanding compatibility is key to a successful installation. The Tape Loc system is engineered exclusively for flat drip tape.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Preparation
Cut the ends of all three drip tape pieces squarely with scissors. Critical Tip: Inspect the cut ends. If there is a hard plastic emitter inside the tape within the first inch of any end, cut it off.

Step 2: Unlock (Side 1)
Rotate the locking nut on the first side counter-clockwise (backwards) towards the center of the tee body to expose the barb.

Step 3: Insert (Side 1)
Slide the first piece of drip tape over the barb until it hits the plastic stop. Twist the locking nut clockwise (forward) to lock the tape in place.

Step 4: Connect Remaining Sides
Repeat the unlock, insert, and lock process for the other two connections.

Troubleshooting: If a leak appears on any side, do not use pliers. Back the nut off, check that the tape is fully seated and not folded, and retighten by hand.

✔ Compatibility Check

This fitting is for 5/8" Drip Tape ONLY.

  • It will NOT fit 1/2" Poly Tubing (Mainline).
  • It will NOT fit 1/4" Micro Tubing.
  • If you are using solid black tubing that does not flatten when empty, you need Easy Loc fittings, not Tape Loc.

Complete Your System

Ensure your drip tape system runs smoothly by having the right tools and accessories:

  • Pressure Regulators: Essential for keeping system pressure below 15 PSI to prevent tape bursts.
  • Tape Loc End Caps: To securely close off the end of your drip lines with the same easy-flush capability.
  • Hold Downs: To secure your drip tape in place and prevent movement from wind or temperature changes.
