Description

Cap Pipes Instantly. Expand Later.

The PVC-Lock End Cap is the smartest way to terminate a sprinkler mainline or zone. Unlike glued caps that are permanent, this push-to-connect fitting seals the line securely but allows for future expansion. If you decide to add more sprinklers later, simply use a removal tool to pop the cap off and continue the run. It is one of the most versatile irrigation fittings for phased installation projects or temporary line closures.

Installation is effortless: just ensure your pipe end is cut square with a PVC Pipe Cutter, chamfer the edge, and push it on. The internal stainless steel retainer ring grips the pipe immediately, while the EPDM O-ring creates a watertight seal rated up to 150 PSI—no primer or glue required.

Why Choose PVC-Lock Caps?
  • Future-Proof Design: Glued caps require you to cut the pipe to extend the line. PVC-Lock caps are removable (with tool), saving pipe length and labor during future expansions.
  • All-Weather Install: Perfect for emergency repairs in wet trenches or cold weather where PVC glue would fail to cure properly.
  • Instant Pressure: No drying time needed. Cap the line and turn the water on immediately to test for leaks.
  • Chemical Free: Eliminates the need for hazardous solvents, making it safer for use in enclosed areas or around sensitive landscaping.
  • Secure Seal: The pressure-responsive O-ring seal actually tightens as water pressure increases.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Secure your line end in seconds.

Step 1: Clean Cut
Cut the end of your PVC pipe clean and square. Avoid using hacksaws as they leave rough burrs that can damage the seal.

Step 2: Chamfer
Use the PVC-Lock Bevel Tool or sandpaper to create a smooth outer edge on the pipe. This helps it glide past the internal O-ring.

Step 3: Mark and Push
Mark the insertion depth on the pipe (approx. 1 inch). Push the cap firmly onto the pipe until it hits the internal stop and locks in place.

Step 4: Verify
Pull back gently on the cap to ensure the stainless steel teeth have engaged. The connection is now ready for water pressure.

✔ Compatibility Check

  • Not Compatible: Do NOT use with CPVC (yellowish pipe), Copper, or PEX.
