Description

Efficient Transition. High-Flow Reliability.

The 1" Manifold x 3/4" Barb Adapter is the essential link between your high-capacity manifold system and your primary irrigation lines. Specifically designed to adapt a 1" female swivel port to 3/4" polyethylene tubing, this fitting ensures a seamless transition with minimal flow restriction.

Molded from professional-grade PVC by Dura Plastics, this adapter is built for the rigors of agricultural and commercial landscaping. Its 1" Male Pipe Thread (MPT) is optimized for use with Dura manifold components, allowing for a hand-tightened seal that eliminates the need for messy glues or solvents when building your valve headers.

Why Choose Dura Manifold Adapters?
  • O-Ring Compatible: The precision-machined threads are designed to seat perfectly against the O-ring in Dura Swivel fittings, providing a leak-proof seal without over-tightening.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Made from Schedule 40 PVC to withstand higher pressures and environmental stressors than standard hardware-store fittings.
  • Superior Retention: The sharp, tapered barb profile on the 3/4" end provides maximum grip on poly tubing, preventing blow-offs during pressure spikes.
  • UV & Chemical Resistance: Formulated with carbon black and stabilizers to resist degradation from sunlight and common water-soluble fertilizers.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps for a professional-grade installation.

Step 1: Check Your Fitting
Identify if you are connecting to a Swivel manifold fitting or a Fixed PVC fitting. If using a Dura Swivel Tee, do not use thread tape. If using a fixed PVC Tee, apply 3-5 wraps of thread seal tape to the adapter threads.

Step 2: Screw Into Manifold
Thread the 1" MPT end into your manifold port. Hand-tighten until snug. If using a swivel fitting, tighten the grey nut until it stops—do not use a wrench, as it can crush the O-ring.

Step 3: Connect the Tubing
Push your 3/4" poly tubing over the barb. For easier installation in cold weather, dip the end of the tubing in warm water for 10 seconds to soften it.

Step 4: Secure with Clamps
Slide a stainless hose clamp over the tubing and barb. Use a nut driver or screwdriver to tighten the clamp for a secure, high-pressure seal.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure the right fit for your project:

  • Thread Type: 1" MPT (Standard Male Pipe Thread).
  • Barb Size: 3/4" (Designed for .820" ID Tubing).
  • Note: This fitting is NOT compatible with Garden Hose Threads (GHT). It will only fit National Pipe Thread (NPT/MPT) or manifold swivel ports.
