These work well but in our orchard sprinkler system we do have occasional problems with the barb breaking off, whether from being bumped by the lawn mower, our feet, or for no apparent reason. So I have to keep extras on hand to replace broken ones.

Ordered two hose x 1/4 inch barbs with screen from Dripworks. When replacing the old one the hose barb broke so it wasn't any good. Luckily I had another one I had ordered which held up to the install. Cheap material. I've used Dripworks many times in the past. This is the first time I had an inferior piece.
