Refill Your EZ-FLO Injector Without Shutting Off the Water

The EZ-FLO Quick Connect Shutoff Valve Kit is an essential accessory for anyone running an EZ-FLO fertilizer injector in their drip or hose-end irrigation system. Sold in a pack of 2, these quick connect shutoff valves let you isolate and disconnect the EZ-FLO tank for refilling without ever having to shut off your main water supply or interrupt your watering cycle. Compatible with all EZ-FLO hose-thread injector units, this kit is a simple upgrade that eliminates the hassle of turning your water on and off every time your fertilizer tank runs dry.

Whether you're managing a backyard vegetable garden, a landscape bed, or a small farm fertigation setup, this kit keeps your system running smoothly. Simply shut the valves to isolate the injector, disconnect the tank, refill it with your preferred liquid or water-soluble fertilizer, reconnect, and resume watering — all without touching the spigot.

Key Benefits
  • No Water Interruption: Shut off and disconnect the EZ-FLO tank for refilling without turning off your water supply or stopping your irrigation system.
  • Quick & Easy Tank Removal: Quick connect design allows you to detach and reattach the injector tank in seconds — no tools required.
  • Universal EZ-FLO Compatibility: Works with all EZ-FLO hose-thread fertilizer injector units sold by DripWorks.
  • Pack of 2: Includes two shutoff valves — one for each side of the injector connection — for a complete inline isolation setup.
  • Genuine EZ-FLO Replacement Part: Sourced directly from EZ-FLO Injection Systems for guaranteed fit and performance with your existing unit.
Compatible EZ-FLO Injectors

These quick connect shutoff valves are designed for use with EZ-FLO hose-thread fertilizer injector units. Browse compatible injectors below:

Note: These valves are intended for use with hose-thread EZ-FLO units only. They are not designed for use with EZ-FLO main-line or high-pressure fertigation systems that use CBV Coupling Ball Valves.

How to Use the Quick Connect Shutoff Valves

Step 1: Install the Valves
Install one shutoff valve on the inlet connection and one on the outlet connection of your EZ-FLO fertilizer injector tank. The quick connect fittings push and lock into place on the injector's tubing ports.

Step 2: Run Your System Normally
With both valves open, your EZ-FLO system operates as usual — injecting fertilizer into the irrigation line every time water flows through it.

Step 3: Shut Off to Refill
When the tank is empty or you need to refill, close both shutoff valves to isolate the injector. Water will continue flowing through your irrigation system, bypassing the injector.

Step 4: Disconnect, Refill & Reconnect
With valves closed, disconnect the tank from the quick connect fittings. Refill with your chosen liquid or water-soluble fertilizer, then reconnect and reopen both valves to resume fertigation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What EZ-FLO units are these quick connects compatible with?
These quick connect shutoff valves are compatible with all EZ-FLO hose-thread fertilizer injector units, as stated by EZ-FLO Injection Systems.

They are not designed for mainline or high-pressure EZ-FLO systems that use a CBV Coupling Ball Valve for inline pipe installation.

Can I keep the water running while I refill my EZ-FLO tank?
Yes — that is the primary purpose of this kit. Closing both shutoff valves isolates the injector tank from the water line, so your irrigation continues while you disconnect and refill the tank.

This is especially useful when your EZ-FLO injector is connected after a timer, since you won't have to interrupt an active watering cycle to top off the fertilizer.

Do I need a backflow preventer when using a fertilizer injector?
Yes. Any irrigation system using a fertilizer injector must include a backflow preventer to stop fertilizer from flowing back into your domestic water supply.

Check with your local building inspector or contractor to confirm which type of backflow preventer is required in your area.

How often will I need to refill my EZ-FLO tank?
Refill frequency depends on tank size, your flow rate setting, and how often you water. On the slow (maintenance) setting in moderate climates, a full tank typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks.

In hot, dry climates with heavy watering schedules, the tank may empty faster. Heavier settings (Fast) will also deplete the tank more quickly. These quick connect valves make the refill process fast and hassle-free regardless of frequency.

✔ Important Notes

  • Hose-Thread Units Only: These quick connects are designed for EZ-FLO hose-thread (hose bib) injector units. Not for use with mainline EZ-FLO systems using CBV Ball Valve couplings.
  • Backflow Preventer Required: All fertigation systems must include a backflow preventer to protect your domestic water supply from fertilizer contamination.
  • Not for Constant Pressure: EZ-FLO hose-thread injectors must be installed after a timer or valve — never under constant line pressure.
