The Dura 3/4" MPT x 1" Barb Reducing Male Adapter allows for a seamless transition between threaded equipment and large-diameter polyethylene tubing. This adapter features a 3/4" Male Pipe Thread (MPT) on one end and a 1" barbed insert on the other, making it perfect for connecting a 1" mainline run to a 3/4" filter, pressure regulator, or pump outlet. To ensure a leak-proof connection on the barbed end, we strictly recommend securing your tubing with worm gear clamps.
Molded from durable gray PVC, this fitting provides high chemical resistance and durability for agricultural and landscape environments. It is one of our essential irrigation fittings for situations where you need to step up from a smaller threaded port to a larger flow capacity line without using multiple bushings.
Verify your sizing to ensure a proper fit.

Follow these steps for a leak-free installation.
Step 1: Prep the Threads
Wrap the 3/4" MPT threads with thread seal tape (Teflon tape). Wrap 3-5 times in a clockwise direction to ensure a watertight seal.
Step 2: Screw in the Adapter
Thread the adapter into your 3/4" FPT component (such as a filter, regulator, or valve). Hand-tighten, then give it an extra 1/4 to 1/2 turn with pliers if necessary. Do not overtighten.
Step 3: Connect Tubing
Slide a worm gear clamp over your 1" Poly Tubing. Push the tubing over the 1" barbed end of the adapter. It may help to warm the tubing end with warm water to make it more pliable.
Step 4: Secure the Clamp
Slide the clamp over the barb area (ensure it is behind the last ridge of the barb) and tighten it down with a nut driver or screwdriver until secure.
