Description

Reduce and Branch. Professional Precision.

The 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/2" Compression Reducing Tee is the industry standard for branching a standard 1/2" line off a high-capacity 3/4" header. This configuration allows you to maintain high volume flow along your main perimeter (using 3/4" tubing) while dropping down to manageable 1/2" lateral lines for your garden rows or raised beds. It is an essential component for designing efficient, multi-zone irrigation systems.

Engineered for durability, this fitting uses internal compression rings to secure the tubing without the need for glue or clamps. As one of our most robust irrigation fittings, it ensures a permanent, leak-proof connection that can withstand the rigors of outdoor exposure and pressure fluctuations.

Why Choose Compression Tees?
  • Seamless Reduction: Eliminates the need for separate couplers and bushings by combining the tee and reducer into a single fitting.
  • High Flow Capacity: The 3/4" run ports allow you to supply water to large areas without significant pressure loss, while the 1/2" branch feeds specific zones.
  • Permanent Seal: The internal rings bite into the polyethylene tubing, creating a secure grip that resists pull-out.
  • UV Resistant: Molded from high-impact ABS plastic to resist cracking and degradation from sunlight.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Install this reducing tee without tools.

Step 1: Prep the Tubing
Cut both your 3/4" and 1/2" tubing with clean, square ends.
Pro Tip: Compression fittings are very tight. Allow the tubing to warm in the sun or dip the ends in hot water to soften them significantly before insertion.

Step 2: Connect the Run (3/4")
Push the 3/4" tubing into the straight-through ends of the tee. Rock the tubing back and forth while pushing firmly until it passes the internal compression ring (approx. 3/4" deep).

Step 3: Connect the Branch (1/2")
Insert the 1/2" tubing into the center branch port. Push firmly until it seats fully against the internal stop.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure the sizes match your system:

  • Run Ports (Ends): Fit standard 3/4" Poly Tubing (.940" OD).
  • Branch Port (Center): Fits standard 1/2" Poly Tubing (.700" OD).
  • Does NOT Fit: Drip Tape or mismatched tubing sizes (e.g., 1/2" in the 3/4" port).
