Description

The Simplest Closure. Flush & Seal in Seconds.

The 3/4" Figure 8 End is the most economical and reliable method for closing off the end of a 3/4" poly tubing run. While fancy valves and caps have their place, this simple fitting is a favorite among commercial growers for its durability and ease of use. It functions by kinking the tubing back on itself to create a watertight seal, effectively dead-ending your supply line after your pressure regulator and zone layout are complete.

Considered one of the most essential irrigation fittings for system maintenance, the Figure 8 design allows for easy removal. This is critical for "flushing" your system—opening the ends of the lines to wash out dirt, debris, or mineral buildup at the start and end of every season. Its rugged, one-piece design has no moving parts to break or lose, ensuring years of trouble-free service in the field.

Why Choose a Figure 8 End?
  • Easiest to Flush: Unlike end caps that can get stuck or lost in the dirt, the Figure 8 slides down the tubing to open the line for flushing, then slides back up to seal it.
  • Fail-Safe Seal: By folding the tubing over, it uses the tubing's own kink resistance to stop water flow. It is virtually impossible for this closure to "blow off" under normal operating pressures.
  • Economical: A fraction of the cost of ball valves or threaded end caps, making it ideal for large systems with many rows.
  • Indestructible Design: Molded from a single piece of heavy-duty plastic, it withstands UV exposure, foot traffic, and dragging.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Secure your line end without tools.

Step 1: Insert
Insert the end of your 3/4" poly tubing through one of the "eyes" (holes) of the Figure 8 fitting. Slide the fitting up the tubing about 6-8 inches.

Step 2: Fold
Bend the end of the tubing back towards the fitting to create a tight kink. This fold is what actually stops the water.

Step 3: Secure
Insert the folded end of the tubing into the second eye of the Figure 8 fitting. Slide the fitting towards the fold until it is tight and secure.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure this fits your pipe:

  • Fits: 3/4" Poly Mainline Tubing (.940" OD).
  • Does NOT Fit: Standard 1/2" Tubing (.700" OD). The holes are too large to hold the kink securely. Use the 1/2" Figure 8 for smaller lines.
  • Does NOT Fit: Drip Tape or Soaker Hose.

Complete Your System

Finish your installation with these recommended accessories:

  • 3/4" Mainline Tubing: The tubing size compatible with this end closure.
  • Hold Downs: Use a heavy-duty staple near the end of the line to keep the Figure 8 off the ground.
  • Punch Tool: Need to add emitters before you close the line? Don't forget a punch.
  • Goof Plugs: Essential for fixing mistakes if you punch a hole in the wrong spot.
