Description

High-Flow Connection. Leak-Proof Swivel.

The 3/4" Easy Loc x 3/4" Female Hose Swivel Elbow is the ideal starting point for a larger volume irrigation system. It allows you to connect 3/4" Poly Tubing (.940" OD) directly to a hose bib, water timer, or garden hose at a 90-degree angle. This angled configuration helps prevent the tubing from kinking near the faucet, ensuring smooth water flow into your mainline. We recommend pairing this with a pressure regulator and filter assembly to protect your downstream emitters.

As one of our most robust irrigation fittings, this elbow features a swivel nut that makes attachment to the water source effortless—you can tighten the connection without twisting the entire tubing line. The Easy Loc mechanism (manufactured by Irritec/Perma-Loc) ensures a secure, reusable bond that can withstand the demands of heavy-duty agricultural or landscape applications.

Why Choose Easy Loc (Perma-Loc)?
  • Swivel Action: The 3/4" Female Hose Thread (FHT) side rotates independently, allowing you to screw the fitting onto a faucet or timer without wrestling with long lengths of tubing.
  • High Flow Capacity: Designed for 3/4" tubing, this fitting supports higher flow rates (GPH) than standard 1/2" systems, making it perfect for large gardens or long runs.
  • Secure Locking: The locking nut screws over the tubing to clamp it down onto the barb, preventing blowouts even under pressure surges.
  • Reusable: Unlike glued PVC or single-use barbed fittings, Easy Loc fittings can be unscrewed and reused if you need to reconfigure your system layout.
  • Chemical Resistant: Made from UV-stabilized polypropylene to resist damage from the sun and common fertilizers.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps for a leak-free start to your system.

Step 1: Connect to Source
Ensure the rubber washer is seated inside the swivel nut. Screw the female hose swivel onto your faucet, timer, or garden hose. Hand-tighten only.

Step 2: Prepare Tubing
Cut your 3/4" poly tubing cleanly and squarely. Rotate the locking collar on the fitting backwards (towards the center of the elbow) to expose the barb.

Step 3: Insert Tubing
Push the tubing onto the barbed end until it hits the internal stop. It may require a little force to get over the barb.

Step 4: Lock it Down
Twist the locking collar forward over the tubing. As you tighten it, the collar compresses the tubing against the barb, creating a permanent seal.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure this fitting matches your components:

  • Tubing Size: Fits 3/4" Poly Tubing (.940" OD). It is too large for standard 1/2" drip tubing.
  • Thread Type: Connects to 3/4" Male Hose Thread (MHT) found on spigots and garden hoses.
  • Not for: Pipe Threads (NPT) unless an adapter is used.
