Description

Secure Termination for Drip Tape Rows.

The Tape End Plug (Loc Sleeve) is the industry-standard solution for closing off the ends of your 5/8" drip tape runs. Featuring a reliable "twist-lock" ring design, this fitting creates a watertight seal without the need for messy glues or difficult hose clamps. It is an essential component among our irrigation fittings for row crops, vegetable gardens, and farms using standard drip tape.

Designed for durability and ease of use, the Loc Sleeve technology allows you to open and close the line as needed. This is particularly useful for flushing debris from your system at the beginning or end of the season—simply unscrew the locking nut, remove the tape to flush, and re-attach.

Why Choose Loc Sleeve Fittings?
  • Reliable Locking Mechanism: The external locking nut spins forward over the tape, compressing it against the internal barb for a secure connection that resists popping off under pressure.
  • Reusable Design: Unlike single-use friction fittings, these plugs can be installed, removed, and reused season after season.
  • Easy Flushing: Makes winterization and system flushing simple; just unlock and slide the tape off to drain the line.
  • Chemical Resistant: Constructed from high-quality polypropylene to withstand common agricultural fertilizers and UV exposure.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Secure your drip tape in seconds.

Step 1: Prepare the Tape
Cut the end of your drip tape square using scissors or a cutting tool. Ensure the cut is clean and free of jagged edges.

Step 2: Unlock the Fitting
Twist the locking sleeve (nut) backwards towards the center of the fitting body to expose the barb.

Step 3: Insert Tape
Slide the drip tape over the barb until it hits the stop. The tape should go under the locking sleeve area.

Step 4: Lock it Down
Twist the locking sleeve forward (over the tape) until tight. This compresses the tape against the barb for a leak-proof seal.

✔ Compatibility Check

Verify this plug fits your system:

  • Fits: Standard 5/8" (16mm) Drip Tape (e.g., Aqua-Traxx, T-Tape).
  • Does NOT Fit: 1/2" Poly Tubing (too rigid/thick).
  • Does NOT Fit: 1/2" Drip Line (with internal emitters).
  • Usage: Designed for low-pressure systems (maximum 15 PSI).

Complete Your System

Finish your tape irrigation setup with these essentials:

  • Drip Tape: High-performance tape for row crops and vegetable beds.
  • Tape Coupler: Easily repair tears or connect two pieces of tape.
  • Pressure Regulator: Mandatory for tape systems to prevent bursting (keep below 15 PSI).
  • Wire Hold Downs: Keep your tape from moving in the wind or shifting during thermal expansion.
  • Punch Tool: Necessary if you are connecting tape start fittings to a mainline.
