Description

Anchor Your Hose Connection. Professional Grade PVC.

The PVC Glue-in Hose End Adapter is the essential link between your rigid PVC infrastructure and flexible garden hose components. Designed with a Spigot connection on one end, this adapter glues directly inside standard Schedule 40 PVC fittings (like tees or elbows), creating a sturdy, permanent anchor point. The opposite end features standard 3/4" Garden Hose Threads (GHT), allowing you to attach a garden hose, timer, or manifold directly to your PVC line.

These irrigation fittings are critical for building custom watering zones, hydrant stands, or system headers. By converting a standard PVC slip socket into a threaded hose connection, they provide a durable interface that withstands the torque of connecting and disconnecting hoses without the risk of leaks common with snap-together adapters.

Why Choose Schedule 40 PVC?
  • Seamless Integration: The "Spigot" end has the same outside diameter as standard PVC pipe, meaning it fits flush inside the socket of existing fittings, saving space.
  • Versatile Thread Options: Available in both Male Hose Thread (MHT) and Female Hose Thread (FHT) configurations to suit your specific equipment needs.
  • UV & Corrosion Resistant: Manufactured from high-quality Schedule 40 PVC, these adapters resist sun damage and corrosion from soil or fertilizers.
  • Permanent Bond: Uses solvent welding (PVC glue) for a connection that is as strong as the pipe itself, preventing blowouts under pressure.

How to Install: Solvent Weld Guide

Secure your adapter with a professional solvent weld.

Step 1: Prepare the Spigot
Ensure the spigot end of the adapter and the inside of your receiving PVC fitting (Tee/Elbow) are clean and dry.

Step 2: Prime
Apply PVC Primer to the outside of the adapter spigot and the inside of the fitting socket. This softens the plastic for bonding.

Step 3: Glue
While the primer is wet, apply a coat of PVC Glue to both surfaces. Insert the adapter fully into the socket, twisting 1/4 turn to distribute the cement.

Step 4: Connect Hose
Allow the glue to cure (approx. 15-30 mins). Once set, screw your garden hose or threaded component onto the GHT end. Use a hose washer for a leak-free seal.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure this fits your setup:

  • PVC Side (Spigot): Fits INSIDE a standard 3/4" PVC fitting hub (like a Tee, Elbow, or Coupler). It does NOT fit over pipe.
  • Thread Side: Matches standard Garden Hose Threads (GHT). Compatible with garden hoses, spigots, and hose timers.
  • Not Compatible: Does not fit Pipe Threads (NPT) commonly found on risers or sprinkler heads (unless an adapter is used).

Complete Your System

Finish your installation with these recommended supplies:

  • PVC Primer: Mandatory for a secure, code-compliant solvent weld.
  • PVC Glue: The bonding agent required to seal the spigot into your fitting.
  • PVC Fittings: Tees, Elbows, and Couplers to accept this spigot adapter.
  • Brass Hose Y: Split your new hose connection into two regulated outlets.
  • Thread Seal Tape: Recommended for threaded connections (though hose washers are primary for GHT).
