Description

Coverage Along the Edge. Half-Circle Precision.

The Idra Spike 180 Degree Spray (10 Pack) is the ideal solution for watering garden borders, perimeter plantings, and narrow beds. Featuring a distinctive Blue Cap for easy identification, this adjustable sprayer delivers a 180-degree fan pattern (half circle) that covers the area in front of the head while keeping walkways and fences dry behind it.

Mounted on a sturdy 12-inch stake with an adjustable rigid riser, the Idra Spike gives you complete control over your irrigation. By simply rotating the blue cap, you can fine-tune the flow rate and throw radius to match your plants' growth. Whether you are watering a row of hedges or a flower bed against a house, this spike ensures water goes exactly where it's needed—just remember to install a pressure regulator to prevent misting and ensure consistent performance.

Why Choose Idra Adjustable Spikes?
  • 180-Degree Pattern: The half-circle spray is perfect for "edge" applications, allowing you to water outwards from a border without spraying onto pathways or structures.
  • High Performance Adjustability: Offers a wide flow range (0 to 31.2 GPH) and an impressive throw radius (up to 10.4 ft), adjustable via the textured cap.
  • Versatile Riser: The 12-inch stake features a rigid riser that can be raised or lowered, allowing you to adapt the spray height as your plants grow taller.
  • Easy Identification: The color-coded Blue Cap lets you instantly recognize the 180-degree pattern in your garden.
  • Ready to Install: Comes pre-assembled with 20 inches of flexible PVC tubing and a transfer barb, making connection to your mainline quick and tool-free.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to install your Idra spikes along a border.

Step 1: Lay the Mainline
Run your 1/2" or 3/4" poly tubing mainline along the edge of the garden bed where you intend to place the sprayers.

Step 2: Punch the Hole
Use a 1/4" hole punch to create a clean hole in the mainline tubing at each sprayer location.

Step 3: Connect to Mainline
Insert the transfer barb (located at the end of the sprayer's spaghetti tubing) firmly into the punched hole. You should hear or feel a "snap" when it seats correctly.

Step 4: Place and Adjust
Stake the spike into the ground, ensuring the nozzle is facing away from the path (the flat side of the 180° pattern should be parallel to the border). Turn on the water and twist the blue cap to adjust the throw.

✔ Compatibility Check

Verify your setup:

  • Pattern: 180 Degrees (Half Circle). Best for edges/borders.
  • Inlet: Transfer Barb (Fits into punched 1/2" or 3/4" Poly Tubing).
  • It does NOT screw onto a riser.
  • It does NOT require a separate coupler.
