Description

Relieve Faucet Stress. Prevent Hose Kinks.

The Hose Saver / Timer Saver is a heavy-duty faucet extension designed to protect your plumbing from the weight and strain of downstream components. This short, flexible leader hose acts as a buffer between your rigid outdoor spigot and bulky accessories like timers or multi-outlet manifolds. By lowering the connection point and adding flexibility, it prevents the structural damage that can occur when heavy equipment hangs directly off a faucet.

Equipped with a wrapped coil spring, this unit guarantees a kink-free water flow even at sharp angles. It is one of the most practical irrigation fittings for tight spaces, allowing you to route water around corners or obstacles without restricting pressure to your garden hose or drip system.

Why You Need a Hose Saver
  • Protects Plumbing: Absorbs the weight of heavy timers and brass splitters, preventing them from cracking your faucet or damaging the pipe in the wall.
  • Kink-Free Design: The external wire coil reinforces the hose, ensuring it maintains its shape and full water flow even when bent at sharp angles.
  • Easy Connections: The large, textured coupling makes it easy to attach to any standard outdoor faucet without tools, providing a leak-resistant seal.
  • Versatile Extension: Perfect for lowering the attachment point of a filter or regulator, making them more accessible for maintenance.

Installation Guide

Step 1: Check the Inlet
Verify that the rubber hose washer is properly seated inside the female coupling. This washer is essential for a leak-free connection.

Step 2: Connect to Faucet
Thread the female swivel onto your outdoor spigot. Hand-tighten firmly. The flexible hose will hang down, providing a lower connection point.

Step 3: Attach Components
Screw your water timer, hose splitter, or filter assembly onto the male end of the Hose Saver. The extension will absorb any movement or weight from these devices.

✔ Compatibility Check

  • Threads: Standard 3/4" Garden Hose Threads (GHT). Fits all US outdoor faucets.
  • Best Used With: Hose Timers, Y-Splitters, and Hose-End Filters.
  • Not For: Connecting directly to unthreaded PVC pipe.

Complete Your System

Ensure your head assembly is secure and functional with these additions:

  • Timers: The primary reason to use a Hose Saver—connect your timer safely.
  • Hose Thread Filters: Easily access and clean your filter by extending it away from the wall.
  • Pressure Regulators: Essential for stepping down pressure for drip irrigation zones.
  • Backflow Preventer: Stop contaminated water from siphoning back into the main supply.
