Efficient, Convenient Drip Tape for Small Gardens & Raised Beds

The DripWorks 100' Drip Tape Roll provides an incredibly easy, efficient, and affordable way to irrigate small row crop areas, residential gardens, and raised beds. Shipped in a highly convenient dispenser box, this 100-foot roll prevents tangling and makes rolling out your irrigation lines a breeze. Featuring precision-designed internal flow paths, this tape ensures superb watering efficiency while actively reducing the risk of clogs. With a robust 18-month manufacturer's warranty, this tape delivers professional-grade uniformity that can last for years with proper care and winterization.

Available in 8 mil and heavy-duty 15 mil thicknesses, you can select the perfect emitter spacing and flow rate to match your soil type and plant needs. It operates flawlessly on low-pressure gravity systems or standard household spigots equipped with a pressure regulator (4-15 PSI). Whether you lay it directly on the surface, hide it under mulch, or bury it shallowly, this 5/8" tape provides unbeatable water efficiency. For a secure, leak-free setup, ensure the tape is warm and pliable before attaching it to standard 5/8" drip tape fittings.

Why Choose DripWorks 100' Tape Rolls?

  • Affordable Efficiency: A highly cost-effective way to deliver water uniformly across small market farms, home gardens, and raised bed layouts.
  • Superior Clog Resistance: Precision-designed internal flow paths help trap and flush out debris, extending the life of your drip system.

How to Set Up: A Step-by-Step Guide

Install your 100' Drip Tape Roll quickly and correctly to prevent leaks.

Step 1: Regulate Your Pressure
This tape operates strictly between 4 and 15 PSI. Ensure your head assembly includes a low-flow pressure regulator (10 PSI or 12 PSI) and a minimum 155-mesh filter.

Step 2: Warm the Tape
Pro-Tip: To create a tight seal, leave the roll in the sun for a few minutes so the tape becomes warm and pliable before attempting to attach any fittings.

Step 3: Connect to Mainline
Pull the tape directly from the dispenser box down your crop row. Punch a hole in your poly mainline header and insert a 5/8" tape start fitting (like an LSB or LSBSO). Slide the warm drip tape over the barb and twist the locking nut tightly over the tape to secure it.

Step 4: Seal the Ends
If leakage occurs at the fitting, a gentle 1/4 turn with pliers on the locking nut should suffice. Once the system is flushed and the water runs clear, terminate the end of the row using a 5/8" tape end fitting (like an LSGS or LSPLUG).

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I stop my tape fittings from leaking?
The most common cause of leaky tape fittings is installing the tape while it is cold and rigid. Leave the tape in the warm sun before installation so it becomes pliable and stretches completely over the fitting's barb.

Slide the locking nut over the tape firmly. If a slight drip persists, give the locking nut a careful 1/4 turn with pliers to create a watertight seal.

Do I need to use a pressure regulator?
Yes, an irrigation pressure regulator is absolutely mandatory. This tape is designed to operate strictly between 4 and 15 PSI.

Standard home and farm water pressure is much higher (40-60+ PSI), which will immediately rupture and blow out the thin-walled tape. We recommend a 10 PSI or 12 PSI regulator.

How long does this tape last?
DripWorks tape is backed by an 18-month warranty, but it can easily last for several years with proper care.

The 8 mil thickness is standard for seasonal use, while the heavier 15 mil thickness is designed for multi-season durability. You can significantly increase the lifespan of either thickness by burying it shallowly or covering it with mulch to protect it from UV rays and animals.

How much tape do I need for my garden?
If you are unsure how many 100-foot rolls you need to complete your layout, we highly recommend using our free online Drip Tape Estimator.

Simply input the dimensions of your garden beds and your row spacing, and the calculator will tell you exactly how much tape to purchase.

✔ Compatibility & Design Check

Please note the design parameters for this Drip Tape:

  • Requires 4 to 15 PSI: You must use a pressure regulator to prevent the thin-walled tape from bursting.
  • Filtration is Mandatory: A 155-mesh filter must be installed at your water source to protect the internal emitters from clogging.
  • Requires 5/8" Tape Fittings: Standard 1/2" poly fittings will not work. You must use specialized 5/8" Tape Loc fittings designed to grip thin-wall tape.

Complete Your System

Ensure your garden beds and row crops are ready to thrive with these required components:

  • 5/8" Tape Fittings: Browse the exact tape takeoff valves (LSB), couplers, and end closures (LSGS/LSPLUG) required to build your system securely.
  • Irrigation Filters: Protect the precise internal flow paths of your tape by installing a 155-mesh filter at your water source.
  • Low-Flow Pressure Regulators: Essential for dropping your household or pump pressure down to the strict 4-15 PSI operating window.
  • Mainline Tubing: The solid supply pipe (often 1/2" or 3/4" poly, or Oval Hose) that runs perpendicular to your tape rows, acting as the primary water header.
