How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Install reducing couplers correctly to ensure a leak-proof transition.

Step 1: Prepare Tubing Ends
Cut both sizes of your poly tubing squarely using a tubing cutter. If working with large diameter tubing (1" or larger), softening the ends with hot water or sun exposure can make insertion easier.

Step 2: Position the Clamps
Slide the appropriate size Hose Clamps onto both pieces of tubing before inserting the fitting.

Step 3: Insert the Fitting
Push the larger barbed end into the larger tubing and the smaller barbed end into the smaller tubing. Ensure the tubing travels all the way over the barbs to the center stop.

Step 4: Tighten Clamps
Slide the clamps into position over the barbs (avoiding the very edge of the tubing) and tighten firmly with a nut driver to create a secure seal.
