Description

Professional Branching. UV Resistant Protection.

The 1" Black PVC Tee (SxSxS) is a critical component for directing water flow in custom irrigation headers and manifolds. Manufactured from durable Schedule 40 PVC, this tee allows you to split a single 1" line into two separate directions or merge two lines into one. Unlike standard white PVC which can degrade under sunlight, this black PVC fitting is UV-stabilized, making it one of the most reliable irrigation fittings for surface installations and exposed greenhouse plumbing.

Designed for a permanent solvent-weld connection, this tee requires PVC Glue to create a leak-proof seal with your pipe. Its furniture-grade appearance ensures a clean, professional look for any garden or commercial setup.

Why Choose Dura Black PVC?
  • UV Resistance: Specifically formulated with carbon black to block UV radiation, preventing the brittleness and cracking often seen in standard white PVC left in the sun.
  • Schedule 40 Durability: Meets ASTM D-2466 standards for pressure handling and structural integrity, suitable for high-pressure mainlines.
  • Seamless Flow: The smooth interior walls reduce friction loss, ensuring your system maintains optimal pressure even at branch points.
  • Professional Aesthetics: The matte black finish blends perfectly with black poly tubing and landscaping, avoiding the "industrial" look of white pipe.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Achieve a permanent, leak-free bond with proper solvent welding.

Step 1: Cut and Clean
Cut your 1" PVC pipe squarely using a pipe cutter. Remove any burrs or debris from the pipe end.

Step 2: Apply Primer
Apply PVC Primer to the outside of the pipe and the inside of the tee socket. This softens the plastic for bonding.

Step 3: Apply Glue
While the primer is still wet, apply a coat of PVC glue to both the pipe and the fitting socket.

Step 4: Connect and Hold
Immediately push the pipe into the tee with a quarter turn to distribute the glue. Hold firmly for 30 seconds to prevent push-out.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure this tee fits your pipes:

  • Fits: 1" Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 PVC Pipe.
  • Requires: PVC Primer and Cement (Glue) for installation.
  • Does NOT Fit: Polyethylene tubing or drip tape directly (requires adapters).
