Follow these steps to safely plumb and wire your commercial Irritrol valve.

Step 1: Plumb the Connections
Using high-quality Teflon tape, thread 1.5" male PVC adapters into the large inlet and outlet ports. Ensure the directional arrows on the valve body perfectly align with the direction of your mainline water flow.

Step 2: Install in a Valve Box
Seat the fully plumbed valve inside a heavy-duty underground rectangular valve box over a deep bed of gravel to ensure proper drainage and protect it from equipment.

Step 3: Connect the Wiring
Connect one wire from the 24VAC solenoid to your controller's common wire, and the other solenoid wire to the specific station wire. Securely seal all connections using waterproof wire nuts.

Step 4: Activate and Test
Turn on your main water source. You can manually activate the zone to test the connection and flush the line using the internal or external manual bleed features.
