Install your 1/2" Emitter Tubing quickly and correctly.
Step 1: Connect to Source
Connect the beginning of your tubing to your water source or head assembly. Ensure your system is equipped with a pressure regulator rated between 10 and 50 PSI, as well as a mesh filter.
Step 2: Attach Fittings
Use standard 1/2" Easy Loc fittings to attach the emitter tubing to your solid 1/2" mainline, or to create corners and tees within your garden beds.
Step 3: Route and Pin the Tubing
Lay the emitter tubing straight down your orchard rows, or circle it around the drip line of your trees and shrubs. Use U-shaped wire hold downs every 3 to 5 feet to firmly secure the tubing to the soil. Note: Do not exceed the maximum run length of 450 feet per line.
Step 4: Cap the End
Terminate the end of your run using a 1/2" Easy Loc End Cap or a simple Figure-Eight end closure to seal the line and pressurize the system.
Can I use this tubing on a sloped or terraced garden?
Absolutely! This 1/2" emitter tubing features Pressure Compensating (PC) emitters. This means every single emitter will put out exactly 0.5 GPH, even if the tubing runs up or down a steep hill.
Standard non-PC tubing would cause water to pool at the bottom of the hill, but PC emitters guarantee uniform watering across any elevation changes within the 10-50 PSI range.
Do I need to use a pressure regulator?
Yes, this tubing is designed to operate strictly between 10 and 50 PSI. Standard home water pressure is often much higher (60+ PSI), which can blow the internal emitters out or burst the tubing.
Always install an irrigation pressure regulator at your water source before running the tubing.
What fittings should I use to connect this tubing?
This emitter tubing has a 0.600" Inner Diameter and 0.700" Outer Diameter, which is the exact same size as our standard 1/2" solid mainline tubing.
You can use any of our standard 1/2" Easy Loc, 1/2" compression, or 1/2" barbed fittings to connect it to your system.
Does this tubing need a water filter?
Yes, you should always install an irrigation filter on your head assembly when using emitter tubing.
Because the internal pathways of the pre-installed emitters are very small, grit, sediment, or algae from your water source can easily clog them if a filter is not present.
