Description

High-Volume Irrigation for Trees, Shrubs, and Large Containers

Take complete control of your spring garden's hydration with the versatile Adjust-A-Bubbler. Also known as the Antelco Mini Bubbler, this high-volume drip emitter provides a full 360° umbrella of gentle streams, making it the perfect solution for thoroughly watering the root zones of new trees, established shrubs, and thirsty hanging baskets. Featuring an intuitive click-indexed cap, you can easily dial the flow from 0 all the way up to 35 GPH. Whether you are inserting the barb model directly into 1/2" mainline tubing or using the 5" spike model to secure coverage exactly where you need it, this adaptable bubbler drastically reduces watering times while ensuring deep, life-saving root saturation.

Why Choose the Adjust-A-Bubbler?
  • Precise Flow Control (0-35 GPH): The fingertip click-indexed cap lets you dial in the exact flow rate for everything from delicate seedlings to mature, water-hungry trees. You can even shut it off completely!
  • Adjustable 360° Coverage: Rotate the cap to adjust the umbrella-pattern watering diameter from a targeted drip to a wide 1.9-foot circle (at 30 PSI), adapting to plants as they grow.
  • Efficient, High-Volume Watering: The incredible 35 GPH high flow rate allows for significantly shorter watering times compared to standard low-flow drippers, ensuring deep soil penetration for healthy trees.
  • Easy to Clean: Features a simple take-apart design. Just unscrew the cap to quickly clear any sediment or debris, ensuring reliable performance season after season.
  • Durable UV-Resistant Construction: Manufactured from robust, UV-stabilized polypropylene to withstand harsh sunlight and adverse weather conditions.

How to Install the Adjust-A-Bubbler

Follow these easy steps to integrate the bubblers into your landscape.

Step 1: Punch the Mainline
Using a DripWorks key punch, create a clean hole in your 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch poly mainline tubing near the plant you want to water.

Step 2: Connect the Bubbler
If using the Barb model: Press the bubbler's base firmly and directly into the punched hole until it snaps into place.
If using the Spike model: Insert a 1/4-inch transfer barb into the punched hole, attach a length of 1/4-inch micro tubing, and connect the other end to the bubbler's stake barb.

Step 3: Secure in the Soil
For the spike model, push the 5-inch stake firmly into the soil near the root zone of your tree, shrub, or container plant.

Step 4: Adjust the Flow
Turn on your irrigation system. Rotate the textured click-indexed cap counter-clockwise to increase the flow and umbrella diameter, or clockwise to reduce the flow to your plant's specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Adjust-A-Bubbler good for watering new spring trees and shrubs?
Yes, the Adjust-A-Bubbler is perfect for establishing new spring trees. Its high-volume 35 GPH output and adjustable 360-degree umbrella pattern ensure deep root saturation, which is critical for healthy, drought-tolerant growth as temperatures rise.

For very large trees, we recommend placing two or three bubblers evenly spaced around the drip line to ensure a sufficient percentage of the root area is wetted.

How do I clean my Adjust-A-Bubbler if spring runoff causes clogs?
Cleaning the Adjust-A-Bubbler is incredibly simple. It features a convenient take-apart design; just unscrew the cap completely to flush out any sediment or debris, then twist it back on to restore flawless performance.

Can I turn off the flow on the Adjust-A-Bubbler completely?
Yes, the Adjust-A-Bubbler features a complete shut-off capability. Simply turn the click-indexed cap fully clockwise to stop the water flow entirely, which is perfect for empty pots or dormant spring plants.

What tubing do I need to connect the Adjust-A-Bubbler Spike model?
To connect the Adjust-A-Bubbler Spike model, you will need standard 1/4-inch micro tubing. Connect one end to the bubbler's built-in barb and the other to a 1/4-inch transfer barb inserted into your mainline.

✔ Compatibility Check

Please note the requirements for this unit:

  • Installation Tools: A standard hole punch is required to insert the barb model directly into 1/2" or 3/4" poly tubing, or to insert a transfer barb for the spike model.
  • Pressure Requirements: Designed for an optimal operating range of 15 to 30 PSI. Ensure your head assembly includes a pressure regulator to prevent the caps from blowing off under high pressure.

Complete Your System

Ensure your high-volume irrigation setup is fully equipped with these recommended products:

  • 1/2" Mainline Tubing: The reliable foundation for running water across your yard to your trees and shrubs.
  • 1/4" Micro Tubing: Required to connect the Spike models from the mainline to the base of your plants.
  • Key Punch Tool: An essential, inexpensive tool for creating clean insertion holes in your poly tubing.
  • Pressure Regulator: Protect your bubblers and ensure even output by lowering your home water pressure to the safe 15-30 PSI range.
