The FlexNet Tape Elbow Start Connector (1/2" MPT x 5/8" Tape) is the specialized fitting designed to connect 5/8" drip tape laterals perpendicular to your FlexNet Flexible Pipe. By screwing directly into the integral 1/2" threaded outlets of the FlexNet submain, this elbow keeps your tape flat and parallel to the row, reducing stress on the connection point and minimizing trip hazards in the furrow.
Featuring a high-quality twist-lock nut, this connector secures standard 5/8" Drip Tape (16mm) tightly to prevent blowouts under pressure. As one of our most popular irrigation fittings for vegetable production and row crops, it ensures a leak-proof transition from the portable manifold to the crop zone without the need for glues or tools.

Connect your drip tape in three easy steps.
Step 1: Install into FlexNet
Apply thread seal tape to the 1/2" MPT threads. Screw the elbow into the FlexNet outlet until hand-tight, positioning the outlet in the direction of your row.
Step 2: Prepare the Lock
Spin the locking nut on the tape side of the fitting backwards (towards the elbow) to expose the barb.
Step 3: Connect Tape
Slide your 5/8" drip tape over the barb. Twist the locking nut forward (over the tape) until tight. Pull gently on the tape to verify it is secure.
