Description

This series is designed for non-health hazard applications to protect drinking water supplies from dangerous cross-connections in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements for non-potable service applications such as irrigation, fire lines, or industrial processing. It is a standard assembly with ball valves or union-end ball valves. End connections are NPT ANSI / ASME B1.20.1.

The Febco Series 850 Small double-check valve assembly backflow preventers include a freeze sensor for use with SentryPlus Alert® technology to monitor temperature nearing the freezing point. Activated by an add-on connection kit, the sensor triggers alerts to help facility personnel reduce equipment damage and repair that may result from cold weather conditions. It is available for building and irrigation management systems.

Features

  • Sensor signals to indicate when the temperature nears the freezing point once activated by an add-on BMS/IMS connection kit
  • Compact modular design to facilitate maintenance and in-line repairs with a single access cover
  • In-line serviceable assembly requiring no special tools
  • Two in-line independent positive seating check modules
  • Replaceable seats and seat discs
