Description

Sharp Turns. Zero Kinks.

The 1/2" Dura Plastics Barbed Elbow is the professional solution for navigating tight corners in your irrigation layout. When bending 1/2" poly tubing beyond its natural radius, it can kink and restrict water flow. This 90-degree insert fitting eliminates that risk, allowing you to create clean, right-angle turns around building corners, garden beds, or hardscapes.

Molded from durable Schedule 40 PVC, these elbows feature sharp, high-grip barbs that hold fast inside the tubing. Whether you are running a standard garden line or a commercial zone, this fitting ensures a permanent, high-flow connection that withstands the elements.

Why Choose Dura Insert Fittings?
  • Kink Prevention: Bending tubing too tightly causes flow-stopping kinks. This elbow maintains a perfect 90° bore for maximum water flow.
  • Heavy-Duty Schedule 40: Unlike thin plastic connectors, these are made from robust Schedule 40 PVC, offering superior impact strength and UV resistance.
  • Secure Grip: The multi-barb design provides a tight interference fit that resists pull-out.
  • Chemical Resistant: Safe for use with fertilizers and common agricultural chemicals.
  • Made in the USA: Manufactured by Dura Plastics for consistent quality and sizing.
Technical Specifications

Match the elbow size to the Inside Diameter (ID) of your tubing.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Install corners securely with clamps.

Step 1: Cut the Tubing
Cut your 1/2" mainline tubing where the turn needs to happen. Ensure the cut is clean and square using pipe cutters.

Step 2: Add Clamps
Slide a hose clamp onto each section of tubing before inserting the fitting.

Step 3: Insert the Elbow
Push the tubing onto the barbed ends of the elbow. If the fit is tight, soften the tubing ends with warm water or sunlight. Ensure the tubing covers all the barbs.

Step 4: Secure
Slide the clamps into position over the barbed area and tighten them with a nut driver or screwdriver.
