.400 Barb Punch

A quick guide to simultaneously punching and inserting large fittings.

Step 1: Load the Tool
Remove the protective plastic cover. Take your LSB400 fitting and slide it completely over the metal shaft of the punch until it rests against the base of the plastic handle.

Step 2: Position the Punch
Secure your 3/4" or 1" poly mainline tubing so it does not roll. Place the exposed hardened steel tip of the punch exactly where you want to start your drip tape row.

Step 3: Push and Twist
Apply firm, downward pressure while giving the handle a slight twist. The sharp tip will easily puncture the mainline tubing wall.

Step 4: Seat the Fitting
Continue pushing downward until the barbed end of your loaded fitting is forced into the freshly cut hole. Once the barb is fully seated, simply pull the tool straight out, leaving the fitting securely locked in the tubing.
