Description

Ready-to-Install Micro Sprayer Stake Assembly for Drip Irrigation

The 13" Clip Stake with 3' Tube & Barb (5 Pack) is a fully pre-assembled stake kit that takes the guesswork out of connecting micro sprayers and misters to your mainline drip tubing. Each assembly consists of a durable 13" plastic clip stake paired with 3 feet of heavy-wall 1/4" vinyl micro tubing and a transfer barb fitting on the end — ready to punch into your mainline and accept a sprayer or mister head right out of the bag. No measuring, no cutting, no separate barb to source.

These assemblies are ideal for garden beds, raised planters, container gardens, nurseries, and greenhouse setups where you need to position a sprayer at a consistent, elevated height above the soil. Simply punch a hole in your 1/2" or 3/4" poly mainline tubing, insert the transfer barb, press the stake into the ground, and attach your sprayer or mister of choice.

Key Features
  • Pre-Assembled & Ready to Install: Each unit arrives with the stake, 3' of 1/4" heavy-wall vinyl micro tubing, and transfer barb already connected — just add a sprayer or mister.
  • 13" Stake Height: Raises your sprayer head well above the soil surface, improving spray coverage and helping prevent clogging from soil contact.
  • Heavy-Wall Vinyl Tubing: The 3' section of 1/4" heavy-wall vinyl tubing is more rigid and kink-resistant than standard micro tubing, keeping flow consistent.
  • Clip-Style Stake Design: The clip on the stake holds the tubing securely upright, preventing the assembly from flopping over under water pressure.
  • 5-Pack Value: Sold in a convenient 5-pack to quickly outfit multiple planting zones or container rows in one order.

How to Install: Step-by-Step Guide

Set up a micro sprayer station in minutes.

Step 1: Punch a Hole in Your Mainline
Using a hole punch, make a hole in your 1/2" or 3/4" poly mainline tubing at the desired sprayer location.

Step 2: Insert the Transfer Barb
Push the transfer barb fitting on the end of the 1/4" tubing firmly into the punched hole in your mainline until it seats securely and does not pull back out easily.

Step 3: Press the Stake Into the Ground
Position the 13" clip stake at the desired angle and push it firmly into the soil near the base of the plant or in the center of the area to be watered.

Step 4: Attach Your Sprayer or Mister
Connect your preferred micro sprayer or mister head to the top of the 1/4" tubing and turn your system on to verify coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this assembly include a sprayer or mister?
No. This assembly includes the 13" clip stake, 3' of 1/4" heavy-wall vinyl micro tubing, and a transfer barb fitting only. A sprayer or mister head must be purchased separately.

Browse DripWorks' full selection of micro sprayers and misters to find one compatible with 1/4" tubing.

What size mainline tubing does the transfer barb fit into?
The transfer barb is designed to insert into standard 1/2" or 3/4" poly mainline tubing after punching a hole with a standard hole punch.

It will not work with drip tape or tubing with pre-installed emitters. Use it with solid-wall poly mainline.

Why use heavy-wall vinyl tubing instead of standard 1/4" poly tubing?
Heavy-wall vinyl tubing is more rigid than standard polyethylene micro tubing, which means it holds its shape better when staked upright and is less prone to kinking at the connection points.

Can I use this assembly in a greenhouse?
Yes. These stake assemblies work well in greenhouse and nursery settings where micro sprayers and misters are used for overhead or container watering.

The clip design keeps the tubing and sprayer head stable even in high-humidity or high-airflow environments.

✔ Compatibility Notes

  • Sprayer Not Included: This is a stake-and-tube assembly only. Add a compatible micro sprayer or mister head separately.
  • Mainline Required: The transfer barb punches into solid-wall 1/2" or 3/4" poly mainline tubing. A hole punch tool is required for installation.
  • Tubing Size: The assembly uses 1/4" tubing. Ensure your chosen sprayer or mister head accepts a 1/4" barbed or slip inlet.

Complete Your Setup

Pair these stake assemblies with the right sprayers and accessories to build a complete micro irrigation zone:

  • Micro Sprayers: Browse adjustable and fixed-pattern micro sprayers that connect directly to 1/4" tubing.
  • Misters: Add a misting head for greenhouse humidity control, frost protection, or delicate seedling watering.
  • Mainline Tubing: Run 1/2" or 3/4" poly tubing as your supply line to feed multiple stake assemblies in a zone.
  • Hole Punch Tool: Required for punching clean holes in mainline tubing to accept the transfer barb.
  • 1/4" Micro Fittings: Tees, elbows, and couplings for extending or branching your 1/4" micro tubing runs.
