Description

Water-Powered Fertilizer Injection at a Fixed 1% Rate

The MixRite 1% Non-Adjustable Fertilizer Injector (Model 566AG) is a reliable, water-driven proportioning pump designed for low-dosage, constant-feed fertigation systems. Operating entirely on the energy of the water flowing through it — no electricity required — this injector precisely meters fertilizer or other additives into your irrigation line at a fixed 1% (100:1) ratio. It is an excellent choice for farms, nurseries, greenhouses, and cannabis operations that require consistent, accurate nutrient delivery with minimal maintenance.

This model is non-adjustable and does not include a manual shutoff valve. If you need a variable injection rate, see our adjustable MixRite injectors. We recommend installing all MixRite injectors on a bypass line to allow for easy cleaning and maintenance without interrupting irrigation. This unit ships complete with a suction tube, foot strainer, hose clamp, and wall-mounting bracket.

Important: MixRite injectors are not rated for constant pressure. They must be installed downstream of an automated irrigation timer or valve. Maximum injection performance is achieved at pressures below 60 PSI.

Key Features & Benefits
  • No Electricity Needed: Fully hydraulic — powered solely by water flow, making it ideal for remote fields and off-grid installations.
  • Precise Fixed-Rate Injection: Delivers a consistent 1% (100:1) mix ratio, ensuring uniform nutrient distribution across your entire irrigation zone.
  • Wide Chemical Compatibility: Suitable for fertilizers, mild acids (that do not produce heat), cleaning chemicals not corrosive when diluted to 1:100, and vitamins/minerals for livestock water supply.
  • Bypass Installation Recommended: Installing on a bypass line enables easy flushing, servicing, and chemical changes without shutting down the entire system.
  • Complete Kit: Includes suction tube with foot strainer, hose clamp, and a wall-mounting bracket for a clean, secure installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I leave the MixRite injector under constant water pressure?
No. MixRite injectors are not rated for constant pressure and must be installed downstream of an automated timer or irrigation valve.

Leaving the unit pressurized 24/7 without an upstream timer or valve can damage the injector over time. Always place the timer before the injector in your head assembly.

Why should I install the MixRite on a bypass?
Installing the injector on a bypass loop — rather than directly in-line — allows you to easily isolate, flush, service, or swap chemical tanks without interrupting the rest of your irrigation system.

This is especially helpful at the end of the season or when switching between fertilizer types. DripWorks strongly recommends bypass installation for all MixRite units.

What chemicals can I use with this injector?
This injector is compatible with a wide range of fertilizers, mild acids that do not produce heat when diluted, non-corrosive cleaning chemicals at the 1:100 dilution rate, and vitamins or minerals added to livestock water supplies.

Do not use strongly corrosive chemicals or acids that generate heat upon dilution, as these can damage the injector's internal seals and components.

Is there an adjustable version of this injector?
Yes. If you need a variable injection rate rather than a fixed 1%, DripWorks carries the full line of adjustable MixRite injectors.

✔ Installation Requirements

  • Not for Constant Pressure: Must be placed downstream of an automated timer or valve. Do not connect directly to an always-on water source.
  • Bypass Installation Recommended: Install on a bypass loop for easiest long-term maintenance and chemical management.
  • Connection Type: Features 3/4" Male Pipe Thread (MPT) — requires appropriate female pipe thread fittings or adapters for your mainline.
  • Best Performance: Injection accuracy is optimal at operating pressures below 60 PSI.
