Description

The Ultimate PVC-to-Poly Bridge.

The 1/2" Easy Loc x 1/2" PVC Slip Adapter is a specialized "glue-in" fitting designed to transition directly from hard PVC pipe to flexible 1/2" poly tubing. Unlike threaded adapters that require tape and can be bulky, this adapter creates a permanent, low-profile solvent weld connection. It is the preferred choice for building custom manifolds or branching a drip zone directly off a PVC lateral line using PVC Glue.

As one of our most versatile irrigation fittings, the PVC side features a unique dual-sizing design: it can slip over a 1/2" PVC pipe (Socket) or fit inside a 3/4" PVC fitting (Spigot). The other side features the trusted Easy Loc locking collar, ensuring a secure, leak-proof connection to your 1/2" Poly Tubing without the need for hose clamps.

Why Choose Easy Loc Technology?
  • Professional PVC Integration: Allows you to "hard plumb" your drip system start points, eliminating the wobble and potential leaks of threaded connections.
  • Secure Locking Power: The threaded collar tightens over the tubing, compressing it against the internal barb for a grip that withstands pressure spikes.
  • Tool-Free Tubing Install: While the PVC side requires glue, the poly tubing side connects by hand—no clamps or hot water needed.
  • Fully Reusable: The Easy Loc side can be unscrewed to remove or replace the tubing, making system maintenance effortless.
  • Durable Construction: Molded from UV-stabilized ABS and polypropylene to resist cracking in harsh sunlight.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Requires PVC Glue (Sold Separately).

Step 1: Prepare PVC
Clean the PVC pipe or fitting hub. Apply PVC Primer to the mating surfaces.

Step 2: Glue the Adapter
Apply PVC Glue to the "Slip" side of the adapter and your PVC pipe (or inside the PVC fitting hub). Insert quickly and twist a quarter turn. Hold for 30 seconds to bond.

Step 3: Connect Tubing
Once the glue is cured, unlock the Easy Loc collar. Push your 1/2" poly tubing over the barb until it hits the stop.

Step 4: Lock it Down
Twist the locking collar forward (over the tubing) until tight to secure the connection.

✔ Compatibility Check

This fitting has a dual-purpose PVC end:

  • Option A (1/2" Socket): The ID fits OVER standard 1/2" PVC Pipe (Schedule 40).
  • Option B (3/4" Spigot): The OD fits INSIDE a standard 3/4" PVC Fitting (like a Tee or Elbow).
  • Tubing Side: Fits standard 1/2" Poly Tubing (.700" OD).
  • Note: You MUST use PVC glue for the PVC connection.

Complete Your System

Ensure you have the right chemicals and tools:

  • PVC Glue: Required to solvent weld this fitting to your PVC pipe.
  • PVC Primer: Essential for preparing the surface for a strong bond.
  • 1/2" Poly Tubing: The distribution line that connects to the Easy Loc side.
  • Pipe Cutter: Clean cuts ensure leak-free glue joints on your PVC.
