This fitting requires both solvent welding and thread sealing.
Step 1: Glue the Run
Clean, prime, and glue the PVC pipe into the two slip sockets on the run of the tee using PVC Glue. Ensure the threaded outlet faces the correct direction (usually up) before the glue sets.
Step 2: Prep the Riser
Apply thread seal tape to the male threads of your riser or nipple.
Step 3: Thread the Branch
Screw the riser into the center FPT outlet. Hand tighten, then give it a final quarter-turn with pliers. Tip: It is often easier to screw the riser in after the tee is glued to the pipe to ensure vertical alignment.
