Description

Seamless Transition. PVC to Poly.

The 1/2" Easy Loc x 3/4" PVC Slip Adapter is the specialized fitting you need to convert a hard-piped PVC system into a flexible drip irrigation zone. Designed to solvent weld (glue) directly onto standard 3/4" PVC pipe, it provides a secure anchor point for starting your 1/2" Poly Tubing run.

This adapter features a 3/4" Slip Socket on one side for a permanent bond to your water source and an Easy Loc collar on the other for a re-usable tubing connection. It is one of our most popular irrigation fittings for landscapers who run rigid PVC underground to a garden bed and then switch to poly tubing at the surface for easier layout flexibility.

Why Choose Easy Loc Technology?
  • Permanent Anchor: By gluing directly onto a PVC stub, this fitting eliminates the wobble often found with threaded connections, keeping your manifold stable.
  • Secure Locking Technology: The Easy Loc nut screws over the poly tubing, compressing it against the barb for a leak-proof hold that handles pressure surges.
  • Fully Reusable (Tubing Side): While the PVC side is permanent, the Easy Loc side allows you to unlock and remove the tubing if you need to redesign your layout.
  • Tool-Free Installation: The large, textured nut provides excellent grip for hand-tightening—no clamps or tools required for the poly connection.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to connect rigid PVC to flexible poly tubing.

Step 1: Glue the PVC Side
Clean and prime your 3/4" PVC pipe stub. Apply PVC glue to the pipe and the inside of the adapter's slip socket. Push the fitting firmly onto the pipe and hold for 30 seconds to bond.

Step 2: Unlock the Collar
Rotate the Easy Loc locking collar backwards (towards the PVC side) to expose the internal barb. Do not remove the nut completely.

Step 3: Insert Tubing
Push your 1/2" poly tubing onto the barb until it hits the stop. A rocking motion can help seat the tubing.

Step 4: Lock it Down
Twist the locking collar forward (over the tubing) to clamp the connection securely. Hand-tighten only.

✔ Compatibility Check

Verify your sizes before gluing:

  • PVC Side: 3/4" Slip Socket. Fits OVER standard 3/4" Schedule 40 or 80 PVC Pipe.
  • It does NOT fit inside a 3/4" fitting hub (unless you use a short pipe nipple).
  • Tubing Side: Fits standard 1/2" Poly Tubing (.690" - .710" OD).
  • It does NOT fit 3/4" Tubing or 1/4" Micro Tubing.

Complete Your System

Ensure a professional installation with these recommended items:

  • PVC Glue: Essential for creating a watertight bond on the slip connection.
  • 1/2" Poly Tubing: The standard mainline compatible with this adapter.
  • PVC Pipe Cutter: Ensure clean, square cuts on your PVC pipe for the best seal.
  • Hold Downs: Keep your new poly line secured to the ground.
