Description

Connect to the Water Source. Simple & Secure.

The 1/2" Easy Loc Female Hose Start is the essential starting point for many drip irrigation systems. It allows you to connect your main water supply—whether it's an outdoor spigot, a garden hose, or a hose-end timer—directly to your 1/2" Poly Tubing.

Featuring a 3/4" Female Hose Thread (FHT) Swivel, this fitting spins freely to attach to your faucet without twisting or kinking the tubing. On the other side, the secure Easy Loc collar clamps down on the drip line, creating a leak-proof seal that handles household water pressure variations with ease.

Why Choose Easy Loc Technology?
  • Swivel Connection: The female hose end spins independently, making it incredibly easy to screw onto a spigot or timer without wrestling with the tubing.
  • Secure Locking Technology: The locking nut screws over the tubing, compressing it against the internal barb for a high-pressure, leak-proof hold.
  • Fully Reusable: If you need to change your system layout or move the connection, simply unlock the collar and remove the tubing.
  • Tool-Free Installation: No clamps or wrenches required. The ergonomic nut design allows for a tight seal using hand strength alone.
  • UV & Chemical Resistant: Molded from high-grade polypropylene with UV stabilizers to withstand harsh sun and outdoor elements.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to connect your drip system to a water faucet.

Step 1: Check the Washer
Ensure the rubber hose washer is seated inside the 3/4" Female Swivel end. This is required for a leak-free seal on hose threads. Do not use thread seal tape on the hose threads.

Step 2: Connect to Source
Screw the swivel end onto your faucet, timer, filter, or pressure regulator. Hand-tighten until snug.

Step 3: Prep Tubing
Cut your 1/2" poly tubing squarely. Rotate the Easy Loc locking collar backwards to expose the barb.

Step 4: Lock it Down
Push the tubing firmly over the barb until it hits the stop. Twist the locking collar forward (over the tubing) to clamp the connection.

✔ Compatibility Check

Check your connection types:

  • Inlet (Source): Fits standard 3/4" Garden Hose Threads (GHT) found on spigots and timers.
  • It will NOT fit Pipe Threads (NPT/PVC) without an adapter.
  • Outlet (Tubing): Fits standard 1/2" Poly Tubing (.690" - .710" OD).
  • It will NOT fit 3/4" Tubing.

Complete Your System

Ensure your head assembly is complete with these essential components:

  • Water Timer: Automate your watering schedule by attaching a timer to the faucet first.
  • Filter: Essential for preventing debris from clogging your drip emitters.
  • Pressure Regulator: Reduces high household water pressure to a safe level for drip irrigation (typically 20-30 PSI).
  • 1/2" Poly Tubing: The mainline that connects to this adapter.
