How to Choose the Right Plants for Your Garden

The Male Hose x 3/4" Male Pipe Adapter is a specialized transition fitting designed to turn any standard 3/4" Female Pipe Thread (FPT) outlet into a connection point for a garden hose. Whether you are building a custom manifold or attaching a hose-end timer to a rigid PVC line, this adapter bridges the gap between plumbing components and garden accessories.
Unlike glue-in adapters, this threaded fitting screws directly into tees, elbows, or valves, allowing for a removable and modular connection. It is one of our most practical irrigation fittings for nursery headers, greenhouse water supplies, and hydrant assemblies where a direct Male Hose Thread (MHT) outlet is required.
Ensure you match the correct thread types.

Follow these steps for a secure, non-permanent connection.
Step 1: Tape the Pipe Threads
Apply Thread Seal Tape to the 3/4" MPT end of the adapter. Wrap 3-4 times in a clockwise direction. This is critical for sealing tapered pipe threads.
Step 2: Screw into Fitting
Thread the taped end into your 3/4" Female Pipe Thread (FPT) fitting (e.g., a PVC Tee or Elbow). Hand-tighten firmly, then use a wrench for one final turn. Do not over-tighten.
Step 3: Connect Hose
Screw your garden hose, timer, or Y-valve onto the exposed 3/4" Male Hose Thread (MHT) end. Ensure the female accessory you are attaching has a rubber washer inside.
